How can I get rid of stretch marks?
I have stretch marks on my thighs, behind my knees and on the sides of my stomach. The originals were from a growth spurt when I was 11 and they never really bothered me but now I have more which are from weight gain. I need the remedy to be pretty cheap as I am a teenager with not a lot of money to work with.
Answers:
I don't think you should try to cure them, but what you should do from now on and in the future is to put moisturizing cream, and NO active creams as they will only increase your problem.
(Don't use any sort of diet cream)
Also, if you drink enough water every day, it helps your skin being better.Don't focus on it really, I have stretch marks too, and one day I told my boyfriend I was a bit upset about them, and he said he had to look close to notice them, and I was worried only because I was looking too close!!
I've decided he was right and not to care anymore.
He also said the most important thing was that my skin was soft, so only care about this, it's going to make you feel better.
And PLEASE, don't spend money on creams that are meant to be so effective, because I can tell you for having worked in one of the best cosmetics companies that they're made of nothing..
Just moisturize, drink water and smile, and you'll be VERY beautiful!! :)
If you live in the Uk, E45 is a good moisturizing cream for cheap available in supermarkets.
Body shop has great moisturizing creams as well.(my favourite one's mango!)
Sorry but there is no cure for stretch marks.
there are creams for that at some stores or in magazines, ive seen em
lotioin for getting rid of stretch marks..they have it at like target and publix..places like that
You could get lotion or cream or something for stretch marks..They wont completely get rid of them, but it would make them less noticable.
it does not matter still HOTT.
surgery,but that's expesive,wow
sorry,
I have too,and u just have to live with this:P
cosmetic product and blah blah don't work
You can't get rid of them completely. There are some creams that can help reduce the redness, but that's about it.
there is a product called Bio-Oil available, but its about £8 a bottle. And its not a very big bottle. You dont need to use a lot however, and I get a lot of women buying it in work.
Also cocoa butter is said to help, but I have no experience of that one.
dont worry about them .
You can't get of rid of stretch marks no matter what you do.
Unfortunately there is no way you can remove stretch marks once you have them. Over time they do fade and become less obvious, but will never disappear completely.
Cocoa butter moisturiser can help them fade though (and smells gorgeous too).
this solution takes about 6 months, but is pretty reliable: go to a dermatologist, and tell them you're looking to get a prescrption for Retin-A. This should be covered under your (or your parents) health insurance. Make sure you tell the doctor what it's for. If that's still too expensive, try Palmer's Cocoa Butter. That will fade the stretch marks, and prevent futher ones, if used consistently.
the best method is to do nothing about it because it will disappear.
it worked for me
bio oil. its the best thing. i had a growth spurt and i got stretchmarks and the bio oil helped soooo much. they also fade with time too though. and a tan helps. fake tan if there's no sun. dont go on a sunbed!!
I've heard that Palmers Cocoa Butter Stetch Mark Lotion is meant 2 be really good. My cousin used it while she was pregnant and said it was really good and its not really expensive as far as i know.
use a steam iron
I have had 3 children and have asked every Doctor that question sorry hunny your stuck with them.
Now vitamin E will help make them look better.
There is a product called Bio oil, it costs approx £8 but only a small amount is needed. It really does work! It isnt exactly cheap but its worth it, so maybe its worth saving your pocket money
The method: Silicone sheeting
What it's good for: Raised scars and keloids (overgrown scar tissue)
How it works: Silicone sheeting is placed over a scar and surgically taped down. Dermatologists believe that the combination of the occlusive layer over the scar and the friction from the silicone sheeting actually reduces raised scars over time. And in fact, silicone sheeting can take weeks or months to work (and can make your scar itchy when you wear it).
The method: Mederma ointment
What it's good for: Smaller scars and new stretch marks
How it works: Mederma uses an ingredient derived from onion skins to help treat scar height and discoloration. Its manufacturer claims it will soften hardened scar tissue, too. Mederma comes in a gel formula, so you can apply during the day and no one has to know. Visible results, however, can take awhile to show up.
The method: Microdermabrasion
What it's good for: Raised and slightly pitted scars
How it works: Microdermabrasion uses tiny crystals to aggressively slough off the top layers of skin. By sloughing off enough skin, microdermabrasion can help even out differences in tissue, thereby smoothing out a raised scar or making a pitted scar less deep. If you have very sensitive skin, however, microdermabrasion may not be for you. The process naturally irritates the skin, which can cause further discoloration if you're particularly sensitive.
I've got them too. I asked the same question the other day so go onto my questions because evrone was soooo helpful, it'll really help you out!!!! ;-)
There are certain lotions that you can buy that are supposed to help with stretch marks. Personally, I have never used them so I cant let you know if they really work or not. I was told that Vitamin E oil works great. When I first found out I was pregnant someone told me about it. After about 4 months I started rubbing it on my stomach once a day. Im not sure if I just got lucky or if the oil really worked but I dont have one single stretch mark on my body. Its worth a try. I didnt pay but a few dollars for the bottle and for as small as it was it lasted a long time!
I would totally recommend Mederma! I used it for a scar I had and was amazed at the results and at how quickly it worked! Plus, it's only like $13 for a tube so if it doesn't work for you, you didn't waste a ton of money! But, I think it will work! Did for me!
Oh my love, there is no cure for stretch marks.
They will in time fade to a silver line, which you will no longer notice over time.
Not a lot of help, I know, but I'd hate for you to waste the little money that you do have on a product that will not work.

I have stretch marks on my abdomen, below my belly button, since I had my kid nine years ago.. they quickly faded but they've left my skin full of ridges which i can see but which you can't really feel. Commented on them several months into my relatinship with my last lover who I had a highly sexed relationship with, walked around naked in front of him all the time etc. and he said 'what stretchmarks?'. He was too busy looking at the rest of my hot bod to notice some marks on my skin! Whenever I feel insecure about them, I remind myself of this.
I'm a man thinking of
Where can I get one of those
what is the tech. behind wearing heals and walking?
Whats this coat called??
what is the best way of removing wrinkles on my forehead?
how to guess womans bra size?
Girls only - how far does an average nipple stick out?
office girls, female cabin crew, female nurses,?
Where abouts in London can i find a cheap super hero outfit?
