Do women buy more shoes than men or is it just a myth put out by mean men??
Answers:

Number of pairs of shoes owned.. ONE.
Colour.. Black
Cost.. Less than £10
When my shoes show signs of wear, I buy another pair NUFF SAID? You have one pair of feet, so NEED one pair of shoes!
I think we do we wear more colours than men so we need more shoes to match our coloured clothes
Yes, we do. Women tend to accessorize more and keep up with fashion more than men do.
I dont think women buy more shoes than men-my brother buys WAY more shoes than i do!
I think the answer can be found on the high street. How many shops do you see that specialize in mens shoes
WOMEN, LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE SHOES.
as a girl i think we do i love shoes the more the better
I'm male. I buy new shoes when my old ones wear out. Make of that what you will.
Women are shallow enough to buy one pair of shoes for every pair of shoes they have.
Give up on the physical, women!!
I am male and have more shoes than most men. I own like six different shoes. but they each have their unique (practical) function
hahaha funny. Every girl i've known has at least 10 pairs of shoes/flip flops. most guys have around 3-5 shoes including flip flops. if that. Guys just replace them when they are used up. I think it's because girls always try to match clothes with shoes, even though guys really don't look at the shoes. I guess women really try to impress other girls instead.
No it is true - ask any shoe manufacturer or retailer or the Beckhams..
i buy more shoes then my husband and always have.
but he owns more coats then me.
myth
No, they do. I have one pair of shoes for every occasion. One for working around house, one for gym, one for causual dress, one for nice dress, and one for beach wear. My ex-wife had about three or four for each.plus a few extra categories. Also, my one pair for working around the house is just my gym shoes that no longer function well in the gym so they get demoted.
idk probably!
It's not a myth.
Most men are perfectly happy with a couple of pairs of sneakers, one pair of dress shoes (maybe two if they have to wear them to work), and a pair of flip-flops.
Women need to have shoes that "go" with many different outfits, levels of formality, occasions, etc. They really do *need* more shoes than men do -- but quite a few women I know have many, many more pairs than they need, and also lots of pairs that they rarely if ever wear (once every 2 or 3 years). Don't know why, but they do :)
I buy new shoes every two months, My girl got a closet full of shoes and she always has new ones when we go out
. Yes we do. I buy all the time Because I like to change and correlate my outfits Men usually just have black and brown maybe gray.
It's a fact. Look in any man's closet, most is 4 pairs of shoes.
1. boots
2. dress shoes
3. sneakers
4 one more pair of the above.
Now look in a woman's closet. My wife has at least 25 pair of shoes.
No honey I'm female and I say it is no myth! I've got shoes in every color, almost every style, different heals. I've got the same with boots. No certain women like to shop! I'm one of them. Girl I can almost get an orgasm shopping OK? Hand me the credit cards or the cash and point me towards the nearest mall! I'm good to go! LOL!
i think that it depends if a man is in touch with hs feminine side or not, some staight guys are quite vain, but then others just like to take care of their appearance!i think it is just about social stereo types though - its not just black and white - there is a lot of open middle ground!i myself love shoes!got more pairs than i know what to do with!;-)
What's mean about that? It's just a fact that there are a lot more styles of women's shoes than men's shoes. The average man can get by with two or three pairs of shoes or less: one for work, one for recreation, and one for formal occasions (and some don't even need the formal ones). Women have flats, heels, sandals, etc., etc., in every color of the rainbow.
my mom has 44 pairs of shoes and my dad has 6.
thats true and its not a myth.
well, honestly, women have a whole different wardrobe than men, we are expected to look feminine, dainty and frilly all the time. Think about it.how often do you find a pair of womens shoes that can go with 20 different outfits? Men, however can get away with 1 pair of nice sneekers, 1 pair of cruddy sneekers, one or two pairs of dress (1 brown, one black) and 1 or two pairs of casual dress shoes..brown or black.women on the other hand are expected to match their shoes with their outfits in a varying swatch of colors..men dont want us wearing all the browns n blacks they wear, the want green, yellow, pink , purple and so on and so on.flats, heels, closed toed shoes.think about it..
My husband has four pair of shoes .. I am embarrassed to say how many I have.
I don't think it's a myth. At least all of the men I know don't even own half as many shoes as I do, and I don't own a ridiculously high amount.
Men tend to get just the basics, one or two pairs of sneakers, a pair of black dress shoes, a pair of brown dress shoes, and a pair or two of sandals. They end up with 10 or less pairs of shoes.
Women get all those, plus any fashion colors to complement specific outfits, and we tend to get several styles in the neutrals (black and brown) to wear with formal, semi-formal, casual, and everyday outfits. So it's not uncommon for women to have several dozen pairs of shoes.
For example, my husband has 6 pairs of shoes, while I have 30-something.
Women need to match each outfit with a pair of shoes, whereas men can get away with a few basic colours.
Then there are high heels, low heels, sling backs, mules, boots, etc., etc.
I buy shoes Constantly! I LOVE SHOES!
But my boyfriend buys more shoes than i do!..he gets shoes from NYC @ 5 finger discount.thats probably why :).but still everyday he has a new pair of kicks on.haha
but he likes shopping too.which is also weird for guys
probably wouldnt call it a myth maybe just a majority (so i guess its a stereo type)
Personally I own over 40 pairs of shoes and I can count my husbands on 1 hand.
Women need more of a selection to go with the different outfits we wear. Heels, flats, boots, boots with a heel.the list go's on and on my friend.
If any guy had more pairs of shoes than me I would think him to be from the other side.
depends on the men
