Why is my daughter's hair thinning?

My daughter is 16 and her hair is thinning. She has had blood tests and everthing is fine. She uses a lot of TRESEMME products and uses straighteners everyday.

Answers:
Over use of hair straightners damages hair and that's why its thinning or it could be because of bad diet.
It is just a fave
Straightening can cause breakage, but if she is under a great deal of stress, that can also cause hair loss. Get a thickening and anti breakage shampoo and have her get a straightener that steams instead of a hot iron. Maybe have her stop straightening for awhile, or at least let it rest on the weekends. Have her only wash it every other day for awhile, that will help too. Good luck.
has she had a fever recently? My sister hit her her head once when she was around 10 years old and got a fever afterwards.she ended up being fine, except for her hair falling out for a number of years afterwards. Its called alopecia..She could also be over-styling; she should giver her hair and scalp a rest from too many products and especially the straightening iron.
You can't stop evolution. Just pull those hairs into a bow and keep on truckin'.
Your daughters hair is falling out because of the straightners and all the tresemme. I would tell your daughter to just wash her hair once a week with an organic shampoo and dont comb in it too much or use too many hair product maybe just a chea butter oil sheen. And if she has to flat iron her hair don't do it everyday. Just once after she washes her hair and lets it dry and use the shea butter oil sheen lightly as she does it. Dont put her hair in too many pony tails this causes breakage. Wear the hair down loose and flowing. Dont curl it very often just on special occasions. Let me know if my advice helped you any!!
Does she dye her hair a lot? And if her hair is thinning you need good product like Matrix or Paul Mitchell. Matrix Amplify is good. She should not put high heat because it breaks or weakens the hair, sp use medium or low. If she dyes her hair then she needs to go to sally and mix her own hair dye or maybe just highlights would be good. Limit the dye to like every six months. Or don't dye it at all. Also if she wants her hair to appear thick. . there's a product called queen for a day thickening spay by . tgi. but it's in a magenta spray bottle you can get it at like beauy stores. Spray it on the crown of you head of hair and it give a lot of volume. :)
I would say its not thinning its that she does damage to her hair using straighteners and causing breakage alot enough for you both to think its thinning..some people hair can't take the the things we do to it and others are fine.I would get some protein treatments for her hair.esstenials is the best by matrix I think anyways it will add protein into her hair making it stronger,,,they are 3.00 for a package and you can only get them at salons.I use this product once a week I have naturally curly hair and I highlight it so I need to use it..good luck and I am sure shes fine its just the straightener
Give the products and streighteners a rest! Her hair needs the natural oils it puts out. If she washes her hair everyday, try everyother day, and skip weekends if she isn't going anywhere, her hair needs to be able to replenish ist's self. If that doesn't work it might be stress, talk to her about that to find out how to help her. Also do a web search on thyroid. Your thyroid does a lot!
straightening is really bad for your hair, no matter wat heat protecting rubbish you use. this is also a sign of annorexia, so u myt want 2 check this too. if all is fyn with her health, i advise less frequent use of the straighteners and a shampoo and conditioner that adds volume and, and try different styles.
Hi it is because she uses hair straighteners, my hair got really thin and used to snap off it was really bad as generally i have thick hair, it was so thin i had strands falling out very time i washed my hair, You might have to make sure she uses a heat protection spray but depending on how hot her hair straighteners are is how much it protects. I would recommend her to use a strengthening shampoo, but speaking of tresemme it was when i used there products and straightened my hair alot that it thinned alot more it could be to do with whats in them i dont know. Just make sure she conditions every time she washes her hair and uses a leave in conditioner and uses a intense conditioner once a week. Also maybe try and not straighten every day. I did all this and my hair is in much better condition. Hope this helps
