It is a matter of opinion. you know. different strokes for different folks but to quote my friend Jarrad on a comment made about his girlfriend "when you had short hair you looked like a lesbian" long is probably better if you are stocky or muscular because you may get attention from chicks instead of guys.

personally i prefer long hair but it does get in your face when the woman is on top.it tickles my nose and makes me lose my concentration of the job in hand.
It depends. I have no solid preference, but if she can look feminine and sexy with a short style and nothing like a lesbian or a soccer mom , I say go for it! Not all men think the same.
