vitamin e gel cap are great for stretch mark and anything else. Pop open the gel cap and pour the oil on you and rub it in. Do this everyday to notice the different in skin. If you are pregancy the best time is now with mother friend for straight mark. If you are over weight try to tone the skin asap do that now so all the elastic is not gone from the skin.

You can't fully prevent them. Moisturize with a good quality lotion, but apart from that, the tendency to get them is genetic.
you cant prevent them if they are going to happen, but you can just eat well and stay in as best shape as possible to reduce the chances.

But, if you are pregnant, i've always heard that a vitamin E lotion a few times a day helps keep the skin soft and allow it to stretch more (thus reducing, or even preventing the stretch marks)
palmers has a cocobutter lotion for that, it works wonders on me, just keep using it after every shower
I am not sure about that but I hve heard that getting a tan (real or fake) makes them way less obvious!!

Yes it can be prevented, almost completely. Pregnant women use Olive oil everyday on their tummies, until they give birth. The extent of the stretch mark is dramatically less than women who don't apply.
