I've shaved my arms for years. My personal experience has been that my hair has grown back much darker. It was blond-ish when I started shaving and now it's dark. When I let the hair grow out it does feel more coarse than before I started shaving. I don't know if the hair necessarily grows back longer. it just feels prickly when it does grow back because it's all the same length.
I've shaven my arms and my hair hasn't come back any darker no thicker. Keep in mind everyone is different, so it may grow back darker and thicker for you. I think if your thinking about doing it, just shave a small, hidden area on your arm and see how it grows back. Then you'll know from there!

No it dosnt. I shave my arms too, and the only thing ive notice is the razor bumps on your back of your shoulder arm. You might want to avoid that. If you dont keep up with it, your arm hair will grow back to its orignal length!
they do grow back thicker/sharper for sure. i shave my arms almost daily. if i go too long without doing so, i get really spikey and people get freaked out when i acidentally brush up on them :(

I know..I use an epilator on my arms. its a lot better. check out Braun's new epilator the xelle 5270 it works really good since it pulls the hairs from the roots.. causes the hairs to grow back finer.. and after prolonged use (just like waxing) your hair will slowly begin to not grow back

their is tons of stuff on the Internet about this look up hair removal. Everything I have read says it's an old wives tell that alot of people still think is fact. Hair growth has to do with your genes if your parents have very little body hair you will have very little body hair has nothing to do with shaving. I have also heard that if you continue to wax eventually your hair will come back thinner, this is also untrue, not even laser hair removal can make the promise of no more hair there. I am a very hairy person and their is not a part of my body I have not shaved (lol) I have never noticed any change in the hair as it has come back. I think most people think there is a difference cuz if you keep shaving you will notice when newer darker hairs are coming in. They would have come regardless of you shaving or not, but you probably would not have noticed because hair is already surrounding the new hair and it is blending in better. The way I look at is I have been shaving my face since the ninth grade (so 7 years) and I still cannot grow a full beard. If it where true all men would have extremely hairy faces that would like a rug. Some men spend there whole lives unable to grow a full beard but they shave their face everyday. And if this shaving made hair come back thinker wouldn't this help men who's hair is thinning before they go bald.

hmm, my wife said to think about your legs, however, All I can think about is my beard, it is pretty thick but it wouldnt grow untill I started to shave it. now i have a big busy beard.
