How can I make the most of my hair!?
Hi, I have long, thick, naturally wavy/curly/dry/annoying, blonde hair which I spend far too long straightening with GHDs and then normally tying in a ponytail within 10 minutes!
I know I should make the most of my hair, especially as big wavy hair is very on trend at the moment, but I am completely useless at styling it! I've tried expensive shampoos and condittioners but it still ends up dry and fluffy. What I'd really love is great looking hair, so if anyone has any good tips could they let me know, I don't mind putting in the time and effort, I could just do with some advice from people who have that natural ability to make their hair look good! Thanks :-) x

dont get a perm it will dry your hair out even more, that is definately the wrong advice.
I have hair like your but when I diffuse it, it goes very curly,
But I normally wear it straight using my ghds also.
What I would recommend you do is after conditioning (leave in conditioner would be best)
add some shine and de frizz serum then just sit winding your hair round you fingers do this with sections of your hair until your hair is dry, very time consuming but you can do while watching the telly, just spin your hair round your fingers. It looks great when all done
Also think about the cut of your hair, since I have had all my hair layered It has halved the time of straightening and is so much lighter lots more easy to manage.
Give it a go, good luck
you could have a perm. or get it permanently straightened
Use a product for smoothing your hair, and adding SHINE.. My hair is like yours, and if I use a decent amount of it (and just style with my hands), it' looks pretty hot.
Cut the ruddy lot off
Getting a perm would help. Also, you should try doing moisture treatments on your hair. What i did was used mayo and eggs. Also, different products can fry your hair, if you use products just for wavy and curly hair it helps out a lot!! Use a styling cream instead of gel also because gel can dry out your hair making it frizzy.
Go to a beauty salon and look through all their hair style books. There are great ideas in them on what to do with your hair, and I don't mean chopping it off. You would be amazed at what a little feathering of the hair can do. Try it.
ummm well my hair is medium length and it is dry and awfull! i use loads of different stuff. but i think in your case get some styling wax casue then you can do lots of theings with it then!!
If you are going to make the most of your natural waves, after shampoo and conditioner, one of the most important things to get right is the styling product. I would recommend that you get a leave in conditioner, to protect and moisturise your hair after washing and conditioning. You also need to get a strong hold mousse, so that your curl will stay all day. If you put the leave in conditioner in, too, then you won't get such a dry/crispy look, but a shiny, luscious curl.
Don't brush your hair after washing it
also try useing John Freida products for curly hair, or Sunsilk hair serum. I find they both work on my hair
have you tried crinkle drying it when your hair is wet dry it with a hairdryer but scrunch your hair up at the same time
My hair's thick and wavy too, the trick is to add layers to make it appear thinner
What will draw a pimple to the surface?
different hairstyle?
i am invited to a wedding!?
which do you like most Ralf Lauren or Lacoste?
Where can I get a nice formal dress for a UK dress size 6?
Do boys like kissing lipglossed lips?
Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced daily exfoliating facial wash?
Has anyone tried to dye white runners black??
Can anyone recommend any good facial moisturisers?
