Does any one know what are really good hair products for afro hair thats been chemically treated?
Answers:
Proclaim makes a nice product line, you can find it at Sallys Beauty Supply
always look for products with no alcohol; both shampoo and conditioner. I found African Pride brand only at the health food store. Also, I like the shampoo and conditioner at hairoil.com
If you are referring to natural hair, I would suggest taking a trip to your local beauty store and look at their wide variety of natural products. If you are referring to African American hair that has been chemically treated with a perm or relaxer I would like to suggest bio silk. After I come from the salon I like the bounce and do not want to weigh it down with oils. The Bio silk is light and gives the moisture it needs as well as impeccable shine!
Well, i dont have afro hair, but i really know a lot about hair products since i studied cosmetology. If ur hair is chemically processed its better if u dont use permanent hair colors, cause it'll make it weak with the pass of time, specially if its a color lighter than ur originally. If u want to add some color use a cellophane, branded of Sebastian or Clairol, u can get that in any pharmacy or beaty supply. For ur daily care, u can use products such as Redken, its the best, believe me, go for the ones that comes in the blue bottle presentations, its for damaged hair and it will work for u too. Its not expensive and u can get that at the pharmacy or beuty supply too.
Good luck, and dont hesitate is asking me anything about beauty.
well you need to stop using alot of chemicals on your hair instead of a regular perm use olive oil products they are so good.
I recommed any products made by Avlon Co.
KeraCare has lots of moisture which chemically relaxed hair needs and Avlon also make Affirm products which are very good, and not too pricy.
Try KeraCare's moisturinzing shampoo, and conditioner. Also they have a great leave in too.
kerastase masquintense epais. This is a hair masque that is suitable for dry, coarse, thick hair. It makes hair more managable and calms it. From personal experience, i would definitley recommend this product. It is available from lookfantastic.com and costs £12.75.
