Firstly.. No reputable model agency will take your money for any reason. Most decent agencys will tell you from a snap shot if you have potential or not.
Regarding being ripped off. the small claims court is your best bet!
What was the problem? didn't it have all the bits or were some of the transfers missing?
I wasn't ripped off by models direct but I was scammed by 'On Track Modeling' I was not able to get my money back. i was not able to bring my contract to a lawyer before signing, they wanted it signed right then, a warning bell went off in my head but i ignored it, and signed any way. i lost $800.00. I even called the better business bureau before i signed any thing. the company checked out. so you can't always trust that.
i have heard a lot of people have been ripped off by these people with promises of work etc but you must first have your photos taken by there people costing a lot of money DO NT DO IT real agency's pay you not the other way round report them to trading standards and get your local newspaper involved try to stop any one else being ripped off!!

On the Tyra banks show she said the onething you should never do is pay for an agency any agency that wants money isn't real she said I believe it's true.
Don't give any modelling agencies money, If they are genuine they won't ask!
