The type of job you get afterwards will depend on what you study and what result you get. Unless you've gone to Oxford or Cambridge, most employers won't be bothered where you studied, just what class of degree you got at the end
However, Salford is within the Manchester area!
Salford is not the best uni in terms of academia - i attended Manchester Uni which is better when it comes to league tables.
However, I made friends with loads of Salford Uni folk and they were as intelligent as me so at the end of the day it is the experience you have at uni rather then an excel spreadsheet ranking!
