Remember Coloured Wrist Bands?
Back A Couple Of Years Ago People Were Wearing Wrist Bands All Diffrent Colours Ment Diffrent Things Like
Blue Was Anit-Bullying
Pink Was Breast Cancer
Red Was Aids
Can Some One Tell Me What The Black Was For
And Was The White One Poverty (Live Aid)
Answers:
Remember?? They're still doing it! (it's a horrible "fashion" statement, don't you think?)
But if you must know, yes the white is for poverty.
I'm not sure if the black one had a specific meaning, but when i was in school we had thinner black rubber bands which we called "f*ck me bands"
That meant that you wore it around your wrist, and hopefully boy you liked would try to snap it off your wrist. If he broke it, that meant he had to, you know.. "f*ck me"
The black one was a joke; it said "LiveWRONG" on it and was there to poke fun at the original yellow-coloured LiveSTRONG wristbands that were made so popular by BBC Radio 1 in England.
Black was for Racism
But there was also one from Play.com that had LiveWrong and a skull and cross bones on it
There was a pair of black & white which were anti-racism (Nike I think)
My black one was a piss take. It had a skull and cross bones and the words "live wrong" on it.
Black was for asthma and other respiratory diseases/conditions.
White I don't know. There was a web site where it has all of them listed. I don't remember the site name but try putting colors of wristbands in your browser and see what you get.
Very old tradition - have to look into it further but I remember girls braiding these things many years ago, they were I think called friendship bracelets, and black was either just 'punk' or . . I don't know but the whole point of any adornment is to make a statement
The white one was for Make Poverty History, you're right.
Different colours menat a lot of different things. There was an interlocking pair of wristbands, one black one white, to do with anti-racisim. Tsunami relief also used black wristbands.

I've got a black one that's for silverclef music therapy. But almost every colour had more than one charity.
I am sure the black was for racisim.
Believe me.people have not forgotten them! They are still around.
Black wristband= against rasism
White wristband= finish poverty
This fashion was only last year. They are still annoyingly about.
