Wen i shave my pubic hair i come up in red spots how can i prevent this?

Answers:
Use a sharp razor. Old razors, because they're dull, can pull at the hair, and the multiple passes you need to make with them pretty much guarantee you'll get irritation.

Soak the hair for at least five minutes before shaving, and use a moisturizing shave gel. This will soften the hair, thus allowing you to make less passes with the razor.

Shave gently in the direction of the hair growth instead of against the grain. That way you'll prevent ingrown hairs.

Use a soothing, alcohol-free, fragrance-free, menthol-free, irritant-free aftershave lotion.
Simple. Don't do it :-)
Don't shave your pubic hair
Dont pull the skin so tight when you shave, and moisturise it afterwards.. what you use as a cream is up to you :) pmsl
Shave with the hair, not against it.
these are ingrowing hairs. they can be stopped by exfoliation.
there is also a product you can buy (australian body works something or other) that helps.
Use shaving gel it's much kind to skin
use shaving gell :-)
wash yourself you dirty rat
use a shaving foam first before shaving, duh!
shave in warm water and then when finished rinse in as cold water as you can this makes the pores tighten and that way infection cant get in there.
moisturiser! do you want me to come round and rub it in!
apparently if you smear the area with peanut butter after shaving it helps
What you should do is use a weed eater. You will not have to worry about the spots
shave more often, use shave gel and put lotion on it afterwards to prevent chaffing against the underware
You probably have sensitive skin try a shaving foam for sensitive skin
It's razor rash, you can get it anywhere you shave, but it's more likely to come up in sensitive places.

The more you shave the less you get it (the skin hardens a little, but you'd never notice it), but it's unlikely you'll do anyway with it altogether. That's another reason why people favour waxing over shaving.

To minimise the razor rash, soak the area to be shaved in warm water for a while before shaving (I go for reading a magazine whilst I'm in the bath), gently exfoilate, then lather up the area with an unperfumed soap, shave using a fresh blade and after drying apply some cheap, unperfumed aquias cream (I use oilatum).
shave in the direction of the hair growth and dont shave very hard - it causes ingrown hairs in the sensitive area, which is what im guessing you have! use shaving foam - but make sure its ok to use in the genital area - and always be gentle and careful. make sure you shave in warm water.

Go natural instead. Is your boyfriend making you shave? I don't see why any woman would. Natural is sexy.
use shaving gell and then moisturise afterwards but make sure the moisture cream is ok to be used 'down there'!
smooth shaving
First use some form of shaving cream. When done use some aftershave
but beware it might burn.
They may just be a razor rash so just use baby oil when shaving and moisurise after or it could be ingrowing hairs and if you exfoliate the skin where you are shaving this helps to prevent ingrown hairs.
If this is regular and on a every other day basis , I assume the hair is short and spiky. Use good shaving foam IE Gilette, and a new disposable shaver always. .and the golden rule is never be in a hurry. Clean with Eusol solution or even try after shave.ouch!
if i were you dont do it. could be your razor you should have one to use armpits legs etc. and a seperate one for pubes and make sure you keep it clean
always shave in the direction the hair grows which in my case is down if you dont master it just use hair removing cream you cant go wrong with that good luck babes let me know how it goes pink p xxx
Try using shaving gel instead of soap, and shave while having a shower or bath. Try not to shave every 2nd day, let it grow for about 5 - 7 days, then shave again, then you shouldn't have any spots. Try a little bit of moisturiser too after you've shaven. Goodluck!
HI, it depends on what you are using for shaving you pubic hair, and know that the pubic hair is some how harder and on the process of shaving you might end up causing some cuttings especially when you are using razor blade. remember that around that area pimples are common.
use a cream for shaving.it helps
no no no, none of you have obviously shaved this area on a regular basis!
No creams, oils or new razors work at avoiding this rash

The only thing that guarantees 100% smoothness, 100% of the time is to buy a 'Seiko Cleancut' and do it every couple of days. Personal guarantee of 10 years use, this wonderful invention was introduced to me when I was a dancer and I have never gone back!

put a very expensive perfume on your jack & danny, then it wont recur.
try a sensitive blade and gel, or is probably just like that, every one is different.
