Can my trainers/running shoes, be saved?

I have had my trainers for about a year. They are in good condition apart from the area at the inside heel, which has worn away. This leaves me with blisters on my heels when I wear them. What can I do about this, the trainers are in good condition other wise and I would prefer not to through them out. Can they be saved?

hi,sounds, like a load of cobblers,to me? threes an idea, i bet a local cobbler is sat about somewhere, drinking Coffey, blighted with Monday morning flu, and he turns to his mate, and says, people dint repair shoes like they did years ago, throw away society,we will be next. partly answers David Bellamy's,question also.
dont be tight!! throw them out and buy yourself a nice new pair
stick something inside them so that you dont get blisters
Get some insoles i think thats what they are called.
Patch with shoo goo
IF YOU THEM FOR SPORT NO WAY.IF THEY ARE LEISURE TRAINERS BUY A THICKER INSOLE,THAT WAY YOUR ANKLE WILL REST HIGHER THAN BEFORRE,THUS NOT RUBBING ON WORN BIT
umm- im sorry to hear about your shoes. There are several organizations out there that help with this. Try the salvation army
just buy some insoles from your local chemist cut them to size then voila your trainers will be perfect again good luck!!!
You could put some cotton wool in the hole and then cover with soft fabric and sew into the heel area, it should be fine as long as you sew it in securely.
go to a shoe store and get an insole.

And while you're there get some patent leather pumps
You can buy little patches called 'heel savers' that stick to the insides of you trainers. But they don't last very long.
You can get some insoles.
Try a pair of heel grips theyre padded so they shouldnt rub you can buy them from any shoe shop and theyre cheap too.
There are heel inserts, like half cups, with a soft suede finish that can be used as the "counter" in the heel. They should be glued in, but you can try them loose. Foot supplies in most variety stores carry them.
You can get (as said) inserts to cover the bit that’s torn away, at the end of the day the most basic foam packaging you get from boxes could do the trick.

If they are running shoes for running (other than just a mislabelled) then you really need to consider buying a new pair, the whole point of running shoe’s is to provide support on areas of your foot to take the pressure off your joints and hips and to cushion the actual run.
try made-to-order insoles from a chiropractor's clinic. they should help.
I say chuck them!!
if you go to a local athletic shoe store they sell inserts.and they are cheaper than buying new sneakers.i know the old beat up ones are the best! they also sell arch supports which could help with the fact that you are putting so much strain on the heel of your foot.
wear sox
