What is the best shampoo and conditioner for brittle hair?
My hairdresser has told me my hair is very dry and brittle, it is naturally curly and has some colour in it.
I currently use Pantene but is there a better shampoo and conditioner I can use that I can buy on the high street?
Thanks

About a year ago i had really damaged hair, a lot of my hair fell out and it was really dry and brittle. after trying loads of different shampoo's and conditioners i now use head and shoulders (classic clean or hydrating) and sunsilk conditioner. I used the smooth & silky (purple bottle) conditioner, you might want to try one for curly hair.
This has been brilliant, my hair look healthy, my family and friends who saw my hair at its worst have really noticed the difference and commented on it. I wouldnt have believed it otherwise because im very skeptical about the promises made on the ads for hair products. It really does the job and not too expensive.
Fructis and sunsilk are the best
the aussie range 3 minute miracle conditioner is really good. i use it about once a week as it is quite stong but it really does wonders with my hair. its a bit more expensive than some other products but as i only use it once a week it lasts for ages and i use a cheaper conditioner for the rest of the week!
i recently tried the herbal essences leave in conditioner and it was brilliant my hair was really soft an smelt great you should really try it its even better than some of those really expensive 1's.
Try Head & Shoulders.. or maybe Mane n' Tail perfect for retaining your curly hair.
sunsilk hydra tlc really helps replenish moisture.
Dove is my fav. There are different kinds for different types of hair. The Dove Theopy in the dark blue bottle is awesome
matrix is the best
the best thing on the high street is aussie shampoo and conditioner and they also do a condition treatment called 3 minute miracle.. you can get these aussie products in boots superdrug or wilkinsons
You can use dove shampoo and dove conditioner for brittle hair , the hair becomes soft..
If you don't mind spending a bit extra, I'd put money on the TiGi products which you can buy from most hair salons. I use Honey and Oatmeal Shampoo and Conditioner and it really is excellent. I also use Ego Boost leave in conditioner which is brilliant on naturally curly hair. Have a go, you'll be hooked like me! but have great hair.
supermarket shampoo isnt that great for your hair as it has more detergents in it and pantene isnt as good for your hair as its may say it is. I have similar hair and am using the best shampoo and conditioner i have ever tried, Brand - Joico, Name - K-Pak. it makes my hair feel like ive just come put of the salon every time i use it. but best to buy salon shampoo and conditioner!!
Ooohh, L'oreal Smooth Intensive shampoo and conditioner and hair serum.
the head & shoulders is the best shampoo & you must get for dry hairs because your hair is dry.
use Citre Shine or Neutrogena Shampoo.
loreal smooth intense is good is designed for dry brittle hair!
Try a moisture-locking conditioner/shampoo. I recommend garnier fructis.
ive used loads of different brands, but have settled on kerastase, yes its more expensive, but my hair, that was weak and broke off all the time has never looked so good. and my split end.just about gone. i use the kerastase resistance range, made especially for weak, brittle hair. the bain de force shampoo, followed by ciment anti-asure conditioner for damaged lengths and ends.
i also got a reconstruction treatment thats meant to rebuild the hairs strength for very weak hair. it has 5 vials, and you use it once a week for 5 weeks, and its suppose to help. its my second week now, and i really can see a difference.
from your description, id say we have the exact same hair (might not look so in the pic, cause i used the irons on it!), and i certainly can highly recommend the brand as it has improved and helped the condition of my hair.
I have my hair weaved and have found the best shampoo and conditioner to use on coloured hair is Treseme
i have hair like that i use VO5 moisture soak its really good you get a range in styling products as well and boots are doing an offer just now on it all so it wont dent your pocket to much
I have found Aveda Damage Remedy shampoo and conditioner the best that I've tried in years of having dry hair - it is pricey but the lasts a while and is worth it!
please help! i need help with my hair?
