Answers:
get a grip
lots of people go gray early - my brother was 19.
if you are insecure about it - find a good hair colour and colour it.
try profunal its magic in a bottle
No, I had a (male) friend who was grey at 16! It doesn't only happen to old people.
Gray hair doesn't look bad on men. It makes them "distinguished." I think the pepper and salt look is sexy.
Graying hair is normally associated with older people but it's not uncommon for younger people to experience graying hair as well. It's just a loss of pigmentation in your hair follicle which causes your hair to turn "gray" or lose its color. The easy fix is some hair dye and no one will ever know! :)
It's perfectly normal to get grey hairs at your age, even sooner!
Don't worry about it, guys with gray are sooooo sexy!
mt bf is 25 and has gray hair.
its nothing serious
just know most women will find them attractive and mature
lol
You are not a freak, a girl I work with started going grey at 16! It can happen that way I'm afraid, get a semi colour if you're worried about it showing but don't go for permanent if you only have a few, the roots will be a problem if you do
grey is the way ..
r u kiddin me young ppl get white and gray hair all the time
A friend of mine found a grey hair when she was still at school (must have been about 14) She was very dark and I think dark hair either goes grey earlier, or maybe just shows up more. I don't think it's unusual to grey early, lots of people do. and don't worry about it, it's not a sign of old age.
Your not a freak I know a few friends who are going grey in their mid twenties. If you dont like it die it!!
It's probably genetics or stress -- I started when I was 18!

I used to worry about it, but, I found most women compliment me on my salt and pepper hair. Go figure.

Good luck!
your not a freak, i went fully grey at 22, but its better than going bald
not all old people get white hair. Young people get white hair as well ,it's just not as common. there is ,of coarse a simple solution, dye your hair. I know plenty of situations of younger people having grey hair. You aren't alone.
grey hairs can happen at any time.
stress can affect it and so can having too much zinc in your diet.

fabritzo ravenelli a football when grey thru the course of one season and he was in his early 20's
i got them too. don't pull them out, because i SWEAR they come back 2 at a time! i just dye my hair again. if you don't want to change your color, find a dye that matches your natural hair color. you're normal.
I just finished school and there was a guy in my class who was about 17 who was getting grey hairs. I think its probably genetic - sometimes skips a generation. My grandfather lost all his hair in his early 20's and my uncle also lost his hair in his 20's too. Grey hairs are probably better than no hair. If you dont like it then dye your hair. There is also this stuff i saw on tv that you spray in your hair to hide the grey-ness and to make your hair look thicker. Hope this helps.
lucky you. its just that your starting to become a old fart hehehehehe
no buddy welcome to the club its not that you re getting old and no stress don't cause it its genetics. im 35 and im all grey i was turning grey at 25 to. just get the just for men stuff and ask youre dad or mom where it come from mines on my dads side a least im not bald
its normal just dye ur hair if they bother u
it's not only old people, I know quite a few people that are in their twenties and have grey hair and I'm one of them.
No, my husband started getting them about 28. He keeps saying it's my fault, and that backfired on him, cos he is nearly 30% grey now. I myself have not a one yet and I'm older than him. So it just serves him right for being cruel to me.
Gray hair in childhood is known as ‘Premature graying’ or canities.
Premature graying in children is usually genetically programmed -- If
the parents or grandparents had premature graying, the children may
follow suit.

“The time and speed of gray hair onset is due in part to genetics, and
early onset gray hair development can run in families. Very
occasionally, a few gray hairs can develop in children as young as 8
years and yet it indicates nothing other than an early onset of the
gray hair that we all develop with increasing age. Typical gray hair
first develops at age 34.2 +/- 9.6 years in Caucasians while for Black
people the average age of onset is 43.9 +/-10.3 years”

“There are many instances where a systemic disease can indirectly
affect hair color. The mechanisms by which hair color changes occur in
such diseases has not been investigated in any detail although various
suggestions have been made.”

“Certain drugs, herbs and supplements -- including vitamin E and
echinacea -- are also known to cause graying. In addition, smoking has
been linked to early graying. A study published in the December 21,
1996, issue of the British Medical Journal suggested a connection
between smoking and gray hair (as well as between smoking and male
baldness). The researchers were not, however, able to determine a
direct cause-and-effect relationship.”

Smoke, even second hand smoke, has been linked to premature gray hair.

“Sometimes children grow single gray hairs at age 8. Premature gray
for Caucasians is defined as gray onset before age 20 in Caucasians,
before age 25 in Asians, and before age 30 in blacks. Some diseases
cause prematurely gray hair, such as pernicious anemia,
hyper/hypo-thyroidism, osteopenia, progeria and pangeria, and
prematurely gray hair can be caused by . cigarette smoking!”

“Alice, What are the reasons for getting white hair in teenagers?
Nothing turns hair white but the gradual decrease of pigmentation that
occurs with age. Contrary to what you may have heard, special diets,
nutritional supplements, certain vitamins, and protein will not affect
the graying process. Graying, whether it comes with the normal process
of aging or prematurely, has a genetic basis. Hair turns gray or white
when a pigment (melanin) ceases to be produced in the hair root, and
new hairs grow in gray or white. If you're a smoker, take note: a 1996
British Medical Journal study conducted by J.G. Mosley, MD found that
smoking may cause premature graying. When compared to nonsmokers in
the study, smokers were at a four times higher risk of graying
prematurely.”

Children with deficient immune systems (HIV, AIDS, leukemia, receiving
chemotherapy, radiation and more), protein deficiency, altered hormone
levels, and CAD (coronary artery disease) can cause premature gray
hair.

Werner’s syndrome (However, patients don’t usually get gray as
children, but as young adults), Böök's syndrome, Cri du Chat syndrome,
neurofibromatosis and tuberous sclerosis can all cause gray hair in
children, as well as genetic syndromes that causes premature gray
hair.

One common cause of gray hair in children is B12 deficiency. “Dietary
deficiency is difficult to achieve, unless a person is eating a strict
vegan diet. Breast-fed infants whose mothers have B12 deficiency can
also develop a transient deficiency. A lack of vitamin B12 can occur
even in the face of adequate B12 intake. The body's ability to absorb
and use B12 can be hampered by surgery involving the stomach or small
bowel, diseases affecting the small bowel (e.g. regional enteritis,
necrotizing enterocolitis, tuberculosis, diverticulosis, or fish
tapeworms), or a congenital lack of the molecules needed to absorb B12
(intrinsic factor or Transcobalamin I, II, or III). A simple blood
test can diagnose current vitamin B12 deficiency.”

“Several thyroid disorders, particularly hyperthyroidism, reduce
melanocyte activity while they are present. Disorders of skin
pigmentation, such as vitiligo (which follows the destruction of
melanocytes in the skin), can also result in a loss of hair
pigmentation. A rare entity called Vogt-Koyanagi syndrome occurs in
some children following a viral illness. In an attempt to fight the
virus, the body makes antibodies that, unfortunately, also attack the
melanocytes.”

Interestingly, one study shows premature gray hair has been linked to
dyslexia. “ What mechanism might be involved is entirely unknown, but
hair follicles are responsive to neuroendocrine peptides produced by
nerve cells and hair follicles are intimately enmeshed in a complex
nerve cell network. Perhaps dyslexia is associated with a reduced
ability of nerve cells to produce certain stimulatory products that
may also affect hair follicle activity?”

I got my first gray hair at 25. At 42, I probably only have 10 or 15 total. Luckily they tend to fall out. Don't worry about early gray - its natural. When I was in highschool, one of my teachers was completely gray, and he was only 34. If it bothers you, use a coloring. If you're uncomfortable buying coloring, ask the stylist/barber the next time you get your hair cut for a recommendation.
Gray hair is a sign of wisdom for any age group. You are a unique individual to have gray at 20 hold your head up and smile
if you are totally freeked out- i have 2 words for you - Hair Color.
Awwe sweetie don't worry about it! If you truly are insecure about it try Just For Men.. I think that's what it's called. It's suppose to gradually darken the graying hair. Good Luck.
Don't worry about it! There are some slapheads in this world that would love to have your problem! "Salt and pepper" is the look of the sophisticate!
calm down! grey is ok, it does`nt mean you are going to get wrinkles and start forgetting things! and if thats all you`ve got to worry about you`re not doing too bad!
Welcome to my world..grey hair doesn't just happen to old people..it is a process just like anything else. I noticed my first at about 23 or 24. I am now 32 and am starting the streaks.you know like the highlights women pay for..only mine are silver. And yes some of them have a mind of their own.some tend to be wiry or kinky.go figure. I am still predominantly brunette.but if the sun hits me just right you can really see them.
The only way to fix them is by coloring your hair. Which I tend to think is quite a drag.
When we are still young they start sneaking in and by the time your older you will realize that turning grey does not happen overnight..you can either go with it gracefully or you can fight it ,..it is entirely up to you !
