Are blondes more popular than brunettes?
Answers:
It's not about the hair colour...definitely not!!, beauty is only skin deep.
Some think so, some think not.
In my experience, I've always had tons more fun as a brunette.
Personally, I think it comes down more to attitude and confidence than the actual hair color itself.
not necessarily.
it really depends on the person.
there are plenty of brunettes that get the attention also.
yes they are and also more desirable
Not with all the blokes I've shagged - or in my group of friends actually - most of them are brunettes or red heads!
sometimes..
Not with me.
i am one of those rare natural blondes and a few years ago i dyed my hair auburn, and no-one noticed me, i turned my hair back to my natural colour and i found people smiling and noticing me again which made me feel far more confident
Nope Ive been both and it makes no difference I used to be Blonde and now Im a brunette and Im just as popular as ever.
yes i recon so.lol
Blondes SEEM to be more popular than brunettes, but I am attracted to more than just hair color. Personality and friendliness win out EVERY TIME!
no not at all
to put it bluntly, i dont care if the girl is blonde or brunettte, if she is my girl, she can bounce on my dingle dangle all night regardless of hair color!
I dont know. I like both colors even red.
no, not necessarily. We have all different personalities, you can be a very popular person if you were a leopard wearing zebra stripes. You are who you are.
NO WAY
Gentlemen prefer blondes and blondes have more fun!
OF course blondes are sexy and hott evey guy wants a dumb blonde as there girlfriend hee Blondes rulle !!!!! by the way im blonde 2
Yes
NO! brunettes are waaaay better!
only in the number of jokes
Not really. That's an advertising myth to sell bleach. Only the dumb succumb, hence dumb blonde jokes really are based on fact, bleach blondes, not natural blondes.
lets put it this way, blondes=easy, brunettes=sexy.
This is more of an opinion question. Some people think of blondes as 'hot' (either gender) but if you're ever heard the term 'dumb blonde' thats an insult to blondes so really its all a matter of how the person feels about blondes. There is also a saying 'blondes have more fun' that is also an opinion considering your idea of fun might not appeal to someone else
s idea of fun.Brunettes on the other hand, are left alone they don't really have any saying they are not insulted but they are not complimented either.Anyway, this is mostly just an opinion of whther or not a person prefers to have a blonde bf or gf or not.. I hope this answers your question.
in my opionion they are the same personolly i am blonde and i am popular, but also i know a lot of burrnettes that are to so like i said my opion would be the same
Blondes catch the eye because of thier hair stands out, but many a times people find brunettes more beautiful and blondes more oomph.
Brunettes always look more classy and blondes look trashy! You only have to look at Vivien Leigh. The best looking brunette in the world.
Where does the popular myth originate from?
The earliest blondes that mankind knows of was, presumably, the godesses of love Aphrodite and Venus. In ancient Rome a blonde girl was believed to be a prostitute, but once fair headed women entered their country, the Roman woman died their hair blonde with things like flowers. It is possible that the mainstream myth of the blonde as either virginal or a prostitute originated here. The protagonists in fairytales also often have blonde hair e.g. Cinderella and Repunzel. During the Victorian period of England blondes were the signifiers of innocence and beauty, here we can think of Lucy from "A tale of two cities" by. In the end, like many other stereotypes and popular myths there is not one specific point of origin. We can safely pressume that it is a mixture of these and other beliefs and experiences that lead to this popular myth!

Typical characteristics of the so-called blonde.
They are said to be more feminife.
They are softer, frail and vulnerable.
They are yielding both physically and psychologically.
They are, apparently, more other-worldly and closer to the divine.
Brunettes are apparently stronger (physically and psychologically), braver and more practical
Redheads are consedered to be wild and fiery, the archetype of fire.
Myth:Social construction?
It is obvious that most stereotypes are the exagerated forms of some similarities found within any group of people. When refering to the blonde, one must at least ask some of the following questions:
Is there any scientific basis to these statements?
Do these "expectations"change when a women dyes her hair?
Are these expectations real or perceived?
There are many possible answers to all of the above questions, though I think we can agree that there is not any real scientific evidence. Therefore, in order to prevent an argument, let us rather look at examples and the concept of 'the blonde'.
Marilyn Monroe
It is very ironic to see that the most famous blonde bombshell, Norma-Jean, did not even have naturally blonde hair. There are even a few rare photographs of her reading, one does not need to wonder why these are not as popular as those that show off her body!
Charlize Theron
Though she is a natural blonde, she dyed her hair brunette when she did an ad for an anti-rape campaign in October 1999. Possibly because the audience would much rather receive this type of message from the more practical brunette.
It is important to realise at this point that there is a difference between having blonde hair and being a 'blonde'. Blonde hair is a genetically constructed fact. But 'the blonde' is a symbol and a social construction! Whether it stands for innocence or impurity or even stupidity is up to the society that constructs it!
Jessica Simpson
Contrary to all this, unfortunately, we still have a representative of the 'dumb blonde' archetype amongst us:
The original blonde bombshell: Barbie
Barbie was first created in March 1959, by . She was based on another German created doll (though used for quite different reasons) called Lilly. She has seen many styles, clothes and accessories. She has had many roles and jobs, including housewife and running for presidents. She is over nearly fifty and her boyfriend left her only last year! It does not matter who you are or how you see her, this blonde bombshell has definitely changed every girls idea of the ideal women!

Anyone can get attention!!If you find you've lost your edge than going blond may help you find a new approach to a old wise tail.
be careful, attentions one thing, stalking is another. You don't want to much attention from the wrong person or persons.
I dyed my hair brown for a couple months and didn't get nearly as much attention as I did when I was blonde. Thankfully, I went back to blonde. Brunette looked better with dark & sultry makeup which is nice for a while but let's face it.brunettes are boring & jealous that the blondes get all the attention, so they lash out saying they are trashy. I agree, bleach blonde does look stupid but I am a natural blonde and a fan of natural looking blonde with a few lowlights. Every blonde I've known that went to the dark side has always come crawling back to blonde! It's funner [unless you are a plain out boring person regardless of your hair color]
