Ladies, could you please tell me what are the best foundation and concealer you've ever tried?
i find it really hard to find a foundation that doesnt cake and that is good for the skin; and to find a concealer that can hide imperfections and especially dark circles well.. thank you
Answers:
Best concealer, without a shadow of a doubt, is Benefit's boi-ing. It's fantastic. Comes in three shades. Comes in a little round pot which lasts ages.
Also good, is YSL Touche Eclat. The Boots No.7 equivalent is just as good & much cheaper.
bare minerals, just to use as concealer. then almay liquid foundation.it doesnt cake
I use rimmel recover its quiet cheap about £5-6,it doesnt cake it goes on really nice and gives you a natural looking coverage and you only have to use a little mine has lasted me ages.
Mac makes a cream like compact concealer/foundaton. The trick is use a blush brush to apply it. It allows it to go on more lightly and evenly. They also make undereye concealer that is pretty good.
For foundations, Estee Lauder and for concealer, Touche Eclat by YSL, best there is!
3 parts sand 2 parts cement, just bend em ova it completely conceals the ugly mush.
Lancome - Colour ID liquid foundation, doesnt cake, smooth, silky liquid foundation that leaves a smooth, perfect finish. Easy to put on, blends well and has a good range of colours (to match different skin tones)
Try Benefit "Industrial Strength" concealer, its REALLY good for dark circles. Also, Rimmel have launched a new foundation which (and dont ask me how, but it works) blends to your skin tone. It looks orange when you 1st put it on then it calms down.
Loreal Line diminishing (or something)
For a foundation, I would recommend Chanel Teint Fluide Universel, you can find my review as follows:

For concealer covering imperfections and dark circles, I would really recommend YSL Radiant Touch, it's their star product!
No make-up is best for your skin.
I'm not a foundation girl but I can't rave enough about the trio concealer pallet by 'Ariane Poole'. She is a makeup artist and has her own range of makeup. The concealer pallet has 3 shades which you can mix yourself and each have a yellow tone which is most flattering for all skin types- especially good for darkness under the eyes! You won't be dissapointed!
I use Chantecaille oil free foundation from Space NK, it's 60% water and seaweed so not too bad for the skin. You can also use it as a concealer. Downside is it's £50 a pot.
If I just want to use concealer I use Dior, it gives quite good coverage.
You cant beat Clinique, its a bit more expensive but it lasts for ages and the girls on the counter will give you great advice about your skin and what product will be best for your skin type, they will also apply the products if you book an appointment to show you how use them.they do fab foundation and concealers,
I love Bare Minerals. You can use the lighter color for concealer. I just finish putting on my makeup and I have a big zit on my chin and you can't see it now. Love the stuff!
Clinique Superfit make up is excellent and wont cause allergies.
The best foundation and concealer I have used is Boots own brand, no 17 Get Even Balancing Foundation, as I have senstive skin and Boots own Brand I found are the best one for my skin.
Cncealer wise you cant beat Touche Eclat from Yve St Lauren - expensive but worth it. Trish Macelvoy is another expensive but good one - i have the foundation problem too but find the cheaper ones are better - virgin vie do an excellent powder / liquid foundation
Estee Lauder without a shadow of a doubt. Both Double Wear and Maximum Cover are amazing foundations and so is the concealer. You will never look at another foundation once you have seen what Estee Lauder can do for you. I have never looked back and neither has anyone I know who has tried it.
I use the body shops tinted moisturiser instead of a foundation, it gives you even coverage and works for all skin tones aswell as protecting it. i also use lightening touch concealer by the body shop too.
Perfectly flawless is another of there foundations which is fantastic, it gives a velvety feel as it dries like a powder, all of the body shops foundation are good for your skin as they all contain marula oil which moisturises the skin.
The best way to protect your skin prior to putting any makeup on is to prepare it, you should cleanse, tone and moisturise before putting anything on.
Hope this helps
Mary Kay foundation is very light on your skin, yet conceals any blemishes that you have on your face. The concelor is also very good.it even comes in yellow which hides red much better than a flesh color. www.marykay.com/swonderlin I would love to send you some samples if you would like to try it.
Hi,
I have just the foundation and concealer for you. It is the #1 top seller!! Please visit my website at www.marykay.com/cbietz and you will find everything you need.
I'm not one for wearing foundation, its taken me ages to find the perfect one - Christian Dior Airflash foundation. You basically spray it on and your done. You can decide how much you want to wear and your looking at parting with £26.00 but its definatley worth it.
Some of my girlfriends like Motives @ http://www.geocities.com/lcming/motives.
Bare Escentuals - the foundation just disappears into your skin, smooths out all the nasty color changes, and the concealer will cover anything!
MARK-Face Xpert is great!
and Invisible Touch Concealer.
Apply Concealer with a brush (yep we have one of those too) then finish blending with lite taps of your finger.
Then use a Makeup Sponge you've misted with water on both sides, and squeezed. Dab Foundation on to several areas and blend out from there.
Laura Mercier for foundation. Using a make-up base is also very important for your skin!
Concealer from Clinique, it's not too dry so will not for the "cakey" appearance.
Laura Mercier all around is the best
I use Avon colour trend concealer for imperfections and it helps with the dark circles, i find putting the concealer on the areas or concerns with a clean eyeshadow sponge and blend it on to the skin. Then I use Clinique superfit make up in natural, i use a foundation sponge to blend the foundation in and you don't used a lot but just enough to cover the face.
revlon color stay concealer.maxfactor color adopt foundation.
Fresh Complexion Concealer
by CoverGirl--works GREAT and good for the skin, doesnt clog pores
Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation
by Loreal--this is the cheaper version of "Bare Escentuals" but my mom has bare escentuals, I tried it, and this foundation by Loreal is sooo much better. It hides imperfections and evens out my skin tone all at the same time. I used to have to put on alot of makeup but now I'll just use this concealer and foundation and I look flawless! My mother even commented on how flawless I looked. And it's all minerals, so no need to worry about being allergic to it or it clogging your pores.
