Do I require a till receipt after 2 years (I hold a 3 year warranty) to have repairs/replace faulty goods?

Gem fallen out of wedding ring and unable to find it.I have been refused any assistance because I do not have the receipt although all details including tiil receipt number is shown on the warranty.

Answers:
as you have till receipt number you are within your rights
they will ahve all the information on the EJ - electronic journal which is a computer based sales log which in fact will show your sale!
Citizens advice or Trading standards should help you out with that ! I think your warranty should be enough especially when it has the receipt number on it ! Good luck x
You shouldnt if it was registered at the time of purchase. Read the small print in the terms and conditions on the warrenty nd it should tell you. If it says nothing about a receipt then take it further with trading standards.
No. Under british law you only have to prove you purchased the item at the store. If your warranty shows the till receipt number the store will have a record of this.
If they kick up a fuss, see you local trading standards.
if you have the warranty it should be OK. but, a receipt is always nice
