I'm actually selling the fur stoles and giving the money to claire house.?

The reason I want to know what type of fur they are, is that I'm selling them for Claire House childrens hospice. They were donated to the shop, so Im trying to raise as much money as possible for this charity. Does that mean I will get some sensible answers now?

Answers:
Good on you.
If you don't know what they are neither does your customer.
I don't know because i have no description from you
You'll only get sensible answers from sensible questions, and this isn't one. what are you asking?
don't expect you will ever get a sensible answer on a weekend till all the boys and girls are in bed but good luck
No Guarantees (about the sensible answers.)

If it is a resale shop, the shop should not certify in any way what the item is. Leave it to the buyer to determine for themselves what the value of the item is. If you start trying to inflate the price and give questionable valuations based on non-expert advice, you open the shop up to legal charges of fraud which could quickly cost the charity more than was gained by selling the item.

What you are trying to do is offer an untrained appraisal for the purpose of increasing the suggested value of the item. This could easily become fraud.

Keep the untrained appraisals out of the mix. If the donor wishes to provide any documentation that they possess, this could be helpful. Beyond that, it is best to leave the estimate of value to the buyer. Caveat Emptor.
