When going for the vintage, pin-up, dita von teese style, what kind of winter boots would fit the look best?

I've got the coat and clothes, but really can't choose which boots!

I'd go with knee-high spikey heeled black boots. Or laced-up long ankle boots (heels again)
i reckon ankle boots are the way to go. tall and pointy ones.
don't know why but the image of cowboy boots pops into my mind. if i were you i would check some vintage pin-ups to get an idea - you can never go wrong that way ;)
i also suggest you check e-bay so as to get some ideas
definitely heels, maybe a nice shiny black patent style. Must have buckle or some detail. Roland Cartier do a fab pair or try viva la diva.com

go for a shiny leather calf lenghth.patent will look tacky while you want classy
on you anything will suit
try some sexy pvc boots.
