Really? Start now either outside or in a spa. Avoid a sunburn. Starting your tan now will condition your skin to accept longer periods of exposure during your holiday. Sunburn =Skin cancer!
"good tan" is an oxymoron. All you'll get from baking in the sun is skin cancer. Use the fake stuff out of a bottle.
Why? Skin cancer, My mum never sunbathed in her life but still got cancer on her ankle.Beware...
Spray Tan
If you are fair skinned use a block to save your skin the terrible effects of the sun. but if you are going long term use a mild block and take the sun in small doses. after a week of small doses use NIVEA skin moistureiser ( the one in the blue tub) and that sets a tan off like crazy keeping the skin moist . now remember a long lasting tan has to be built up over a few months allowing the skin to acustomise itself to the sun . the longer you take and the more care you take the better and longer lasting your tan will be . I swear by the Nivea cream .But if in doubt at all use a block and if any medical anomilies consult your doctor.

Do exercise in the sun.I went on a mountain bike holiday in spain i was so brown at the end of it i had spanish people asking me for directions .
go to the beach, lie by the swimming pool or go out and play a sport like beach volleyball. Make sure that you put on factor 15 or above sun cream otherwise the risk of you getting skin cancer is quite high! You will also end up looking much worse when you get older!!
