I really want to buy a pair of heeleys (those trainers with the wheels in the heels), but I'm in my 30s?
Don't know if I'm getting too old for gadgets like this. I don't want people to stop and laugh at me as I whizz past.

Well, you get all the encouragement here on this site, however, once you are out there enjoying your heeleys, you'll get all the weird looks. That's how the world is, unfortunately. I, not long ago, went to an event where they had these giant baby-bouncer thingies. I was so tempted to go, but unfortunately only kids had a go on this. I was queuing up but I got some wierd stares from other adults who were watching their kids (you could only queue up if you were intending on going on the ride). So before long, I stepped out of the queues and felt a right sicko for even wanting to go on this thing. The operator, however, did say that adults can go without any problems, as these things are very strong. I'm 30 years old and I feel that because of how other people think I can't enjoy my life or otherwise I'll get labeled a weirdo. That's so bad. If I had come here for advice that day, I'm sure I would have got all the encouragement, but, as I said before, people aren't really like that. So I suggest, you go and buy your heeleys but only use it when people don't see you or at night. Enjoy yourself! Well done, for not acting like your age!
go for it!!have fun!!!
I'm in my 30s also. Go for it! If you want to there's no reason not to.
honestly is what people think enough to stop you from buying something you want?
It doesn't matter how old you are, "heeleys" will always look ridiculous.
you see a lot of crazier things living in new york. my two cents, if they make heelys in your size, then go for it. you're only as old as you feel. and who cares about what other people think?
I've seen kids on them and their faces tell me they are a bit hard to master, they look a bit unstable for one approaching their twilight years, get a silver scooter instead.
I don't think your to old, if you want it get it
and for the person that mentioned twilight years OMG LOL I sure hope 30s aren't twilight :P
you're definately not too old! my teenage son's got a pair and I've often been tempted to have ago as they're my size. Haven't yet though and Im in my 40s.
Go for it!
Why should you be a certain age to have fun.
If its what you want to do then buy them and wave and smile at people as you pass them!
Catch a grip! You'll break your neck!
you should buy yourself and who cares if people stare at you , they probably want a shot off them lol .
I'm in my 30's too, and I'm so tired of worrying if I'll look stupid wearing or doing something young. Life is for living and we shouldn't be worrying about what other people think about us! Let's you and I both buy heeleys, wear pigtails and have as much fun as we can! Stuff the lot of them if they don't like it!
no your never too old.. your obviosly still young at heart (and thirty is still young anyways) so dont let society mould you into a preffered mature citizen.
go for it!
You know what their is a big kid in all of us, just go for it, who cares if people laugh, get an ipod and listen to your music whilst skating, you won't hear people laughing then.
Ooh, you could wear a pair of dark sunglasses too. Lol
Only joking
GO FOR IT.
I'm 30-odd too, gonna get some at the weekend..can't miss out on those!
Go and get some! I don't think you're too old. I've just bought some last month while we were on holiday in Florida and I'm 33. My kids got some and I just had to have a go. It's really difficult though, guy I bought them from said it takes 2 days to master it but I haven't really got the time so they'll probably end up on ebay.
the shoes r kinda cool i guess but DO NOT go around "whizzing by" in public. u will look retarded. u can skate in privete tho.
