Animal testing on cosemtics?

How many people only but cosmetics and shampoo's that aren't tested on animals?

Answers:
Animal testing for cosmetics is illegal in the UK and has been since 1998, therefore no UK based products developed in the last 8 years are tested on animals, so I would say the vast majority of people do not buy cosmetics tested on animals. From 2008 it will be illegal to import any animal-tested cosmetics into any part of the EU.
I try to!
Don't get the question !
st. ive's
I don't know how many overall, but I'm one of em :-)

I try to.
huh ?
I do, as there are so many on the market these days to choose from, just have to make the effort to find out which ones. I would never use something that had been put into a rabbits eyes to test it as I know that is one form of testing used.
Never really thought about it.
I don't buy toiletries that are tested on animals, those tests are pointless

BUT

I have no problem with animal testing for drugs.

If lower life forms have to suffer to save, or improve, human life then so be it.
I dont care actually, as long as i am enjoying the product. But yeah ! i should wake up one of these days.
Instead of using defenseless animals, they should use politicians for testing.
i do always have dont like the thought of buying something that has either blinded an animal or even killed them.i have always been against animal cruelty SAVE THE ANIMALS!!.
Yes I am one of those strange people who only buy products that aren't tested on animals. I just don't feel right buying something knowing an innocent animal suffered and probably died just so I can put color on my face. I don't want to be responsible for causing the suffering.
They way you asked this it's not fair on the cosmetics
As often as I can!
Bunnies won't look good in the same shade of eye shadow I do anyway.
I never buy products which have been tested on animals. There really is no need to carry out testing in this way anymore.
I never check, but would prefer shampoo not tested on animals (poor things)
I wouldn't buy anything that has been tested on animals, however, I am opened to testing on prisoners. (they are a different form of animal)
I def don't buy products tested on animals.
there is no brand out there that does NOT test on animal..sure the final product may not be tested on animals but the by products are
I would guess that its probably 2/3 of female shoppers, as we are all aware of the need to only test with drugs not for frivolity! By the way not excluding men here but most shoppers are women who also shop for their men!
I get most of my beauty products at the health food store, Wholefoods. They carry brands that don't test on animals. Most of the products have such natural ingredients that they wouldn't even have the need to test them out for safety.

Honestly, there are still a few things that I buy from Clinique, such as eyeliner, but I have not tried a natural product that makes good eyeliner yet. Clinique does not test on animals and I trust them more than other makeup brands when it comes to the purity of ingredients.
I USE JAFFRA. ANIMAL TESTING FREE.
my mom does she does not buy anything tested on animals she says its cruel and horrible
hmm i am against animal testing but saying that i don't really check to see if the products i use are tested on animals or not
I try to be a friendly cosumer and if you are trying to be one yourself you can go to Peta's website and get an animal friendly guide to shopping and brands.
there are to to many companys that can claim this and be truthful. I work in research and development of personal care products. and I can say we test on people. But one thing the the public is not aware of is that any ingredient that is out there has been tested in one way or another on animals. the company's that say they do not animal test probably don't because some one else did the testing and they just use the ingredient. Its a loop hole that company use to get around the fact.
I only buy items that are not animal tested. I don't believe in hurting animals.
i wouldn't buy anything that has been tested on animals. There is no need for it. An animal doesn't need to suffer so we can look beautiful. it's cruelty in every form.
I NEVER buy cosmetics and toiletries that have been tested on animals,
and I am also vegan,so it would be kinda against the purpose..
