Ladies what are your views on make-up?

should we wear it or not and why?

Answers:
I think we should have the option but NEVER expected to. And if we dont, no one better say a word.

We women have too many standards to live up to and what happens if you just dont feel like it that day? We shouldn't be judged.
i dont wear any i just cant be bothered spending so much time putting it on and taking it off every day although if im going out i will wear it sometimes.x
I believe makeup is a personal choice. So there is no should or should not answer. I believe that a person should do whatever makes them feel good.
I wear make up every day it makes me feel good, so women don't like to wear it and thats fine
I think women should wear make up, it only takes me 5 mins a day to do it. Just some foundation, concealer, blush, mascara and I'm out the door.
I *should* wear it all the time. I don't wear it all the time. I do feel that I look much better when I wear it.

And there is the element of skin protection - especially with a well-formulated SPF foundation.

Okay, now you've done it! I'm going to go put makeup on!
I definitely think we should but maybe not all the time. I went to the gym and shall this old woman with caked on foundation and bright red lipstick - hardly appropriate.
Make-up is great, but skin care is better. I love make-up. I just like to have healthy skin, so if i choose not to wear make-up then I still look radiant.
Each to their own I think. I only ever wear make-up for special occasions and don't really bother about it. I think no one should be made guilty about their choice!
It's definitely a matter of choice! Some women are lucky enough to be blessed with great skin and strong features, and don't need any help to look beautiful, I unfortunately don't fall into that category!! I try to give my skin a break when I'm at home, as wearing makeup all the time can clog the pores, but I would NEVER step out the door without at least foundation and mascara on - I wouldn't want to scare anyone with my naked face!! LOL ;)
I don't necessarily think we "should", but there's nothing wrong with wearing it if you want to. I have an uneven complexion, so I feel better if I wear a little makeup, plus I wear make up with at least SPF 15 so I think it's good for my skin.
I wear a touch of mascara and a bit of lip balm every day, but i only put more on if i'm going out somewhere special, or if i'm going on stage.which reminds me, i need to get some more foundation before we perform "Our Day Out".can anyone recommend a good one?
i rarely wear make up but when i do its minimul.tinted moisturizer, clear or brown mascara and lipgloss. but thats when i can b botherd. i dont like it that women r exspected to wear it.wots the point.
I always wear make up. It enhances beauty and makes a person look like they take care of themselves and take pride in their appearance. As long as its not overdone!
don,t wear it..last time i had any on was my wedding 14 years ago
i think its a personal choice i wear it quite naturally dont like it caked on
nothing wrong with a bit of enhancement.as long as the occassions right.ie you would look pretty daft with full make up on wearing casual everyday clothes..if im going into town i just use a bronzing powder & eyeliner - thats it, if im staying home i dont tend to bother.if its a big occassion then it would be a full make up suitable for the event. i believe skin should have chance to breath now & again.
Makeup should be suited to the person using it.
Personally I don't wear anything but mascara, eyeliner and a lightly colored gloss for everyday.
I focus on good skincare and use a tinted lotion rather than a heavy foundation.
Makeup is about caring for and highlighting the skin and features that we already have.
We should wear it if we NEED it. It clogs the pores. So I say, only for special occasions, to cover dark circles or blemishes, or to make corrections like if one eye is smaller than the other.it can be fixed with makeup.

I haven't worn it in almost a year mainly because my husband and other people tell me I look better without it. I have a natural mix of colors on my face that never work with any makeup, so it's hard to find anything that matches my tones.
Its upto you really what ever makes you feel good. It depends on whether you like to wear it or not, some women do not like the feel of foundation on their skin. If you like the natural look and only like to wear the minimum, then just enhance your eyes and mouth if you have good clear skin.
If your going out at night then you might need to wear more. It all depends on what look you want to achieve, and what makes you most comfortable, and confident.
i would love to not to wear any but even if i had the "perfect" skin..i think i would still wear a lil lip gloss or mascara n eye liner simple because it does make any women/girl look a lot better personally! for example a friend who wears no make up at all had her blusher aplied for her in a shop we were at and it made her look a lot prettier! it gives that glow in the skin i think.and for the ppl who dont have the perfect skin example me.. thats the only reason i do wear foundation but obviously not caked on. i belive make up does give a lot of girls confidence and again even when men say they prefer natural girls!! i bet you anything if tehy saw a girl who looked bland as she had no make up or a girl who had make up on n looked pretty they would deffo choose the girl with make up on!!
Just because a girl has make up on doesnt mean she has a mask on! jsut depends on the girl and how much she puts on!!
A personal choice. Something that should not be expected. Natural is in anyway. I sometimes like to enhance things a bit but also am sensitive to anything around the eyes so i got permanent eye liner - just accents things without being too much.
I couldn't go out without my make up on. Whetherit's tinted moisturiser of full coverage. The skin on my face is very rosey from having bad spots when I was a teenager. It just makes me feel so much more confident.
