How does wearing loads of make up make you look better?
All the girls around me seem to spend hours everyday applying make up, but usually I've never even noticed whether a girl is wearing make-up or not. How can it make you look more beautiful,? apart from maybe smoother looking skin, it can't change your features or anything.
Answers:
Its a conspiracy by the make-up industry.
Women have been systematically brain washed in to believing that to be beautiful and attractive to men, they must buy loads of their chemical laced make-up, and smear it all over their face.
These chemicals react with the skin over time, leading to premature aging of the skin, which then opens the door for the sale of even more chemical laced make-up sales.
The amazing part of this is 2 fold.
1) Supposedly, the best makeup job, (which most men would be surprised to discover just how much make-up goes in to this), is to end up looking like she is not wearing any make-up at all. Imagine that. Putting on layer after layer of make-up to make yourself look like you are not wearing any.
2) Women do not appear to be aware that most men actually prefer that women wear very little make-up, that we find largely painted faces to be a turn off, and we really have very little understanding, (nor do we want to understand), all of the steps and crap that goes in to painting their faces. We simply know that they will spend a substantial amount of time in the bathroom, "getting ready" to go out in public.
Weird, huh?
iT DEFINES YOUR FEATURES.ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE NOT THAT ATTRACTIVE IN THE 1ST PLACE
It's all about keeping up with Dolly Parton. Wouldn't you want to look that good?
Its a mater of opinoin, personaly i think too much make up makes girls look like slappers.
It covers up the fugly?
It accentuates bone structure and strengthens the features, thus making the face look more attractive. A lot of girls don't actually need make-up, they already have strong features - as you say you don't notice the difference, but I think it's more of a self-confidence thing.
I am one of those girls who wear ALOT of makeup it is definatley a slef confidence thing but also as a teen it really just helps my skin look blemish free (while i have pretty bad breakout sometimes) also to make my eyes look bolder and its also just fun!
It doesn't, you're right. I hardly wear it, only when I'm making a special effort, other than that I don't bother. Maybe once a week. Don't worry about it. Maybe these girls are shallow. There's more to life then beauty and by wearing make up all you're doing is covering it up!
they wear it to cover up things that look ugly, to make them look like they have perfect skin (e.g. spots, scars, ect.)
also, it can sometimes make their eyes stand out more, like eye liner. and it can also make them look like they have better skin.
but apart from that, i don't know.
Loads? They hide your horrible face!
honestly, it doesn't make you look better. when i see girls with their makeup caked on, it just makes me sad. I hate it - especially the really clumped on mascara. here's the thing, i view makeup as a tool to cover up inperfections (like zits) and to enhance the natural beauty a girl has. less is better - and guys perfer it that way! i have a weakness for eyeshadow so i wear it daily, but i still don't cake it on.
Makeup does not make a girl/woman look better. It just makes them look like a painted whore.
i was on bus on way to college on thursday and there is this girl who always sits in front of me, and i was noticing how much of the stuff she had caked on. she was an orangey colour, (and so was her collar on her sweater!) and her eyelashes were thick and clumpy, and as for her choice of lipstick, it matches her skin 'colour' she looked atrocious!!
i then looked around at people getting on, and there was only one other girl on bus that was natural!
i mean i would prob look less ugly if i wore some, but i want people to like me for me, not who i paint myself up to be.
when i go to sleep, in the morning i still look like me, these other girls look totally different!
(though not totally bad, just different)
Makes you feel like a dirty *****!
It's fake beauty. I've seen lots of pretty girls who don't need make-up. It doesen't make you look better. They should go out how they are. If a guy won't go out with you cos you have spots or something then he is a moron.
There are too many shallow failures on this planet.
Personally I only wear lip gloss, and every guy that I know said that they prefer the natural look.
They always worry when they see a girl wearing too much make-up - they don't know what they're going to wake up next to in the morning!
I wouldn't say that wearing make up makes me more beautiful. Makeup is mostly for covering skin imperfections, and enhancing your best features. For example: I naturally have a reddish tint to my skin, so I wear foundation so that it is less noticeable. I also have very full lips so I wear a nice lipstick to set off my lips. Many women try to over do it with makeup. The trick to a good makeup application is for it not to be too noticeable. Some people do not believe in makeup, but this is my motto: "Even an old barn needs a new coat of paint from time to time". Oh and by the way it takes me less than 10 minutes to do my makeup.
Make-up isn't supposed to make you look better. It's more like an accent or an accessory.
Tons of makeup only hides the natural beauty. And in the long run it's the exact thing that enhances all those fine lines ladies are trying to hide.
If you think of applying make-up like coloring a fine painting you'll never go wrong.
i think make up work wonders - me personaly i dont wear it because i dont know how to apply it but i would if i knew how because it makes you skin alot attractive. Evan though i'm a natural beauty i still would like to wear it clubbing or something - look at all the women in the videos all make-up without it they look like a mess- so if u dont have to dont
well when women wear make up they get so much ore confidence and feel alot better about themselves, but like you say you never really notice so maybe that old saying beauty comes from within is really true.
it can enhance your features and with some people it can make them look terrible because they dont know how to put it on properly.
Frankly, more makeup doesn't make you look better. Being confident in yourself, regardless of what you smear on your face, makes you look better. And ladies, most guys would rather actually SEE your face than a mask that merely sits on top of it.
Well, I can make you look Better. But It cant really change how you look. Youll allways look like you make up or not..
i don't think make-up makes you look better at the end of the day the make-up is simply hiding your natural beauty. women that believe they NEED to wear make-up in my opinion are insecure. you dint need to wear it its a choice and it does not make you look better as such. its just boost self confidence
wearing loads of makeup dont make you pretty.it just makes you look like u r trying to be pretty.but then underneath all that gunk..its you.less is more when it comes to makeup..maybe so eyeshadow, mascara and some lipstick is good enough!! and no it dont change ur features or the way u r on the inside.its just covers the real you up!!
a facial mask will do wonders
It is famous for covering up scars, acne and blemishes. It gives you more spots than you already have though. I have noticed that. It can be the most expensive make up, but it will still make you develop spots.

It doesn't, unless you like the Bozo the Clown look.
It gives girls confidence, even if they don't look any different, they will feel different. Also it does make girls look different, as there eyes will look brighter and wider, and their lips will look more plump and often makeup is used to enhance your beauty not to change your features.
