I bought some fashion contact lenses and Maybee I put it in wrong can u turn them inside out by mistake? but anyway is it something you get use to or is it always the constant feeling you have a bug in your eye?
Answers:
i love wearing contacts. I don't even know they are there. However, I do know when I am not wearing them. I can't see a thing
You are putting something strange onto your eye, of course its uncomfortable but keep trying and make sure they have been placed in lotion first otherwise they can be dry and can irritate.
You'll get used to them in a while
they could very possibly be inside out and they should not have any discomfort at all. you actually shouldn't feel them at all.
if it continues to get worse, take them out and see you doctor.
I sometimes wear contacts and I use the daily disposables which are thinner than yours.
I have no problems but yes it feels weird at first. Yes you can get them inside out, so place one on the end of your finger before putting it in and make sure it looks the right way around.
No, I use Acuvue Oasis and they are the best, just change your brand.
The feeling doesn't last long. I had to use TONS of eye drops the first few days I had mine, but after that your eyes get so used to them you won't even notice you have them in. Yes, you can get them inside out, but you would know instantly if they were, they hurt like that--feels like its scratching your eye when you blink. I hope this helps!
NO.you have to get used to them .
nope. YOu increase the hours you wear them littleby little each day so your eyes get used to it. By about a week, you will not even feel them and can wear them comfortably all day.
If you have never worn them before you will have to get used to them. They have their quirks - especially if you get something in there. Try taking them out and cleaning them, then putting them back in. Try turning them inside out too - that might help.
They should not bother you in any way. You can put them in backwards which would cause some discomfort. Before putting it in your eye look at the edge of the contact, make sure it follows a natural curve up to the edge and does not start bending outwards. Also, make sure there is not a small tear in it this can also cause some discomfort. If you have them in correctly you will not feel them at all
never had a problem wıth my contacts but my optıcıan told me you can turn them ınsıde out - she explaıned ıt lıke cups and saucers, ıf ıt looks lıke a cup ıts the rıght way, ıf ıt looks lıke a saucer ıts the wrong way
if they are the flimsy kind yes they can get turned inside out..and that is uncomfortable (i can always tell by looking out of the corner of my eye.. and if i can't see properly it always looks wavy when i have them inside out)
but yeah you get use to them.. i can't really feel mine unless my eyes are dry.. and then that gets scratchy..
other than that i don't mind my contacts at all :)
I wore them for years before I got lazer surgery. You do get used to them and that's how they feel. You just have to keep wearing them. Make sure you always clean them though.
What's wrong with your normal eye colour?
no its not constanly uncomfortable i got a pair of contacts about three months ago and i am so used to them now that i dont even know they are in trust me you will get used to them
you CAN put them in backwards. Check the box and it should show you a way to know you have them in correctly.
If they still bother you when in properly - talk to your Dr. and they can fit you for different contacts that may feel better. :)
I have tried three times with three different eye doctors and I could never get use to contact lenses. I also always had a hard time putting them in.
Yes they are uncomfortable at first,But in time you will get use to them, and then you will be glad that you have them.
Yes, you can turn them inside out. Hold the lens on your fingertip like you are getting ready to put it in your eye. If the edge looks like it 'flips' outward (not smoothly up), then it's inside out.
Your lenses may be the wrong size for your eye.
My eyes became contact lens intolerant 2 years ago after wearing them for 15 years. So I had LASIK this June. Problem solved!
I've been wearing contacts for over 10 years and they definitely get more comfortable. to the point you don't even realize you're wearing them!
As a new wearer, your eyes have never felt that before and it's somewhat of a "foreign object."
Just make sure your hands are clean and clean the lens real well. Give it time and you'll be good.
As a tip, I put a drop of Visine in each eye before I put my lenses in. For some reason (for me) it makes the wear more comfy.
Good luck!
They can be inside out. Take them out, place on the tip of your finger and look carefully at your contact. Is it similar in shape to a ufo where the ends go outwards or does the contact seem to go straight? The contact should look similar to a ufo when it's the wrong way to put them in. Also, keep your eyes moist with contact drops. You should also "break them in" by wearing them for short periods in a day and then work up to a whole 8 hours. If you're still having discomfort, take them out and see your doctor.
I tried to wear contacts but was unable to get used to them. I felt like I had sand in my eyes all the time. I gave it a month or so but it never improved. I talked with my eye doctor and decided that it was probably in my best interest to just wear glasses. It's not that bad. I actually like wearing them now. At least my eyes aren't sore anymore.
takes awhile to get used to.
in my case dry eye i cant wear them at all without torment.
so got cool looking glasses instead.
there are many types of lenses that wasn't explained to you?
maybe go back and ask if you got the right ones for your eyes?
second opinions are always good when the first one isn't.
I've worn contacts for a while now and I've gotten used to themnow. It only takes a little while. You can turn them inside out however, they will be extremely irritating and you'll never get used to it. take it out and put it on the end of your finger. If the edge splays out from the center it is inside out. If the edge curls in slightly and points to the ceiling it is correct. It's a little difficult to explain any better than that.
You should not be able to feel your contact lenses once they are in your eyes. You probably put them on inside out or there was a bit of fuzz on the lense before you put them in. When the lens is on the tip of your finger, check to make sure that it forms a perfect bowl without ridges. If it doesn't, flip it over.
Contacts are the best! Although sometimes when i wear them if im not careful i put them in the wrong way and thats when it feels horrible but i just turn them inside out and Bam! all better!! Just keep trying! that tends to happen with color contacts more often though.
Although they may be uncomfortable until you become use to them, it may seem like you have something in your eye that does not belong. This feeling is quite normal. It is impossible to turn them inside out as they are curved somewhat to conform to the shape of ones eye. Just try and relax and I am sure this will help you.it's easy for me to say but probably hard for you to do I know! Just take a deep breath and try to relax. Best of luck with your situation and let me know how it goes. Sandra
If you put them on inside out, they'll be uncomfortable (like sandpaper). However, if you put them in right you should get used to them -- like they aren't even there.
Look at the contact before you put it in. If the very edges look like they're pointing outward (like an inside-out suction cup), then it's inside out. It should look like a suction cup when it's put in the right way.
Contact lenses can be inverted, and that will feel uncomfortable. They should have been professionally fit to match the shape of your eye. If you are having trouble you should ask the doctor that fit them. Some people should not wear contacts because their eyes can not tolerate them. This should be determined by an eye care professional.
What brand did you get? You mentioned that you bought fashion contact lenses. Does that mean that you didn't see a doctor? There is a possibility that you could have astigmatism in your eyes that prevent the contact lense from staying in place. Usually when this happens, it causes irritation to your eyes. It could also be the brand that you got. I wear Ciba's Illusions. They are quite expensive and you need a prescription to order them but they are very comfortable and you can't feel them when you are wearing them. When I wear freshlook, it irritates my left eye because I have astigmatism in that eye and the lense was not designed for that. Other brands might give you a certain reaction as well. I once bought a pair of lenses but I don't remember the brand and they stung my eyes. They kept on drying out. I thought it was because of me since I have sensitive eyes but I gave them away and they hurt my friends eyes too so she gave them back to me and then I let someone else have them and she stopped wearing them too because they hurt her eyes also.
i have prescription contact but i also have show ones that i purchased from evileyes. com.
great website.
i believe that its just where you arent used to them yet!. :]
You get used to them, though I wouldn't wear them often if only for fashion.
If uncomfortable or feeling dry, with clean fingers touch the lens and turn it gently upon the surface of your eye.
Meaning, if the lens was a smiley face, it would now be upside down.
Unless you need them, don't use them.
Lots of diseases come from putting stuff in your eyes.
