Can anyone suggest an alternative to Right Guard for my dad?

I hate that deodorant, it stinks so bad, and I don't want to go near my dad until he decides to use something else. He claims that he only uses it, though, because nothing else seems to work (he sweats incredibly easily). I'm begging you, can anyone suggest an alternative?

Answers:
Lynx in roller form ,really good. I smell like a tarts boudoir all day.
ew i hate right guard too. try old spice sport. that's what my husband uses. the gel kind
Degree is the absolute best. I've been using it for 14 years.
Have a soak in a hot bath with bleach in it.
Funny question! Both Axe and Gillette work very well. Make sure he gets a deodorant and anti-perspirant in one. They both do different things, the anti-perspirant keeps one from sweating as much.
Tell him he needs to use an antiperspirant deodorant - the aniperspirant will stop him sweating and the deodorant prevents a smell. Lynx on its own will not work as it is merely a deodorant. Try something like Sure for Men. It's never let me down!
LYNX
I've recently started using Mitchum deodorant, it really works, and you can even get it unperfumed if you prefer. Look for a green label.
In the UK, they sell it at Tesco, not sure where if you are in the States.
Try 'Sanex' roll on.
Try Speed stick
There's a stick deoderant sold in the USA that my Dad always gets when someone's over there - Mennen Speedstick.

It smells fine, and apparently works well. You can probably order it on the internet.

Hope this helps.
I couldn't agree more - had to have my husband stop using this product as couldn't stand it! It smells like a bug spray, and not only choked me up, gave me bad headaches.sensitive to most perfumes, colognes. Agree with Ashley F - Old Spice Sport is nice (or non-perfume even better), but anything but Right Guard - ugh.good luck!
I really think "NEXT" own Brand is fantastic, buy him some for christmas and let him try it
why not try "LYNX" it has a varied number of fragrances. i used to use right guard but that was ok years ago when there was nothing else. you could also suggest "BRUT"
The Gillette range work for me - be sure to get "antiperspirant deodorant" and not "body spray". Flavours are : Cool Wave, Arctic Ice, Pacific Light and Wild Rain (haven't seen the last two recently - may be discontinued). Another good one for me is "Nivea for Men", there are 3 or 4 in the range, I use "Fresh" and it's very good. The best I have ever found is "Keops" by Roc. This is a manual pump-action spray (no propellant) and it is guaranteed to work for 24 hours. I bought it in Italy, and don't know if it's available in the UK. It was expensive (€9.50) but you don't need to use a lot - one can lasted me 2 months. Good luck (and give him a big squeeze anyway - we dads like that).
Mitchum, available form Boots and Superdrug is a fragrance free roll-on anti-perspirant and is very effective. Nivea For Men do a number of anti-perspirants but are fragranced. You may find one that doesn't smell too strong, or that you can stand.
I quite agree with the point you are making and have taken it up with one manufacturer. I've worked with people who use a strong deodrant and you can smell it a mile off. Personally I'd rather that though, than smell their B.O. You wonder if some people ever wash under their arms, or change their shirt once a week, let alone every day as they should. When they come and sit with you at the meal table in the canteen - yuk! What happened to their sense of smell?
Strong deodrants, in my opinion always smell like cheap perfume, which is what they are. I'd rather use a fragrance free and choose a subtle fragrance of my own, if I want one. There again, these aren't easy to find, as so many are overwhelming. Good luck with your old dad. Treat him kindly as we dad's are bit touchy sometimes in personal matters - just like our offspring.
