i have very dry, flaky skin and yet i often get compliments from strangers on how nice my skin is. i have two secrets -- the first is to, once or twice a week, put a little polysporin on dry/broken out areas of the face and then wash off with a warm washcloth after about 15 minutes. as for foundation (the point of your question, i know, i'm sorry), i go with the maybelline one for "older" women. it's just the right thickness and has a *tiny* bit of mosturizer added -- just enough to get you through the day without flaking but not so much that you get greasy. hope that helps!

i use a moistuizer on my face before appling my foundation..let soak in to sink before appling foundation.do not use the oily kind.
Use a powder--- You might get oily skin if you keep applying a oil-base. But exfoliate and moisturize. Try a CLEARASIL product; you won't break out. Hope it works!
Id never advise an Oil based foundation as it causes blemishes and spots really bad.Id use a moisturiser before applying your foundation or Id use a tinted moisturiser

You do not need foundation, you need moisturizer. A powder foundation is much better than liquid.
