Most of my friends and I try to have a 5 o'clock shadow but to do it right you need quite a bit of facial hair, otherwise it looks patchy and stupid. Clean shaven is best if that's the case. Beards are for cavemen and bikers.

I prefer a guy to have a little stubble, just makes him look sexier, a lil bit rougher, but on special occasions or when it starts to grow a lil long he will shave it, and after a shave it feels as smooth as a babys bottom..

personally i prefer a little touch of stubble but i also like a clean shaven man hmmm . it depends on your face shape id say .. if your baby faced i think stubble would be good (make you look a little more manly looking and less child-like)
if you aren't baby faced you could probably get away with either.. also you could also experiment with different patterns and stuff.that'd be cool!
