I want an all year light tan but am worried about the risks, are there any creams, but dont they stain?
Answers:
Go get a mystic tan. Until you take a shower from the first time to get it, it will stain clothes. but once you rise that bronzer off you have the most beautiful looking skin. the ones that really work is the airbrush and stand in booth tans. after that you go buy a tanning lotion by Loreal and you'll be set
I have just started using Garnier's 'Summer body'. It gives a discreet tan (not orange) but it does say wash hands after applying. I didn't read this at first, but I haven't noticed my hands getting stained. I use it so I can avoid having 'winter blue' legs - SOO scary and white!!
'Garnier summerbody moisturising lotion, (sun-kissed look with camomile extract)' was recommended to me and I used it this year to get a head start before my holiday - I applied it after work each day and left it a while before dressing to avoid staining clothes. Some colour was washed off with my morning shower but it built up quite nicely to the 'sun-kissed look' that was promised.
You should wash the palm sides of your hands after use to prevent too much build up. When treating your face you should take care to avoid your hairline - putting a little vaseline on your eyebrows beforehand will protect them from colouring.
The tanning parlors are safe and sane. If you get on a program its about $3.00 a tan. Don't over do it. Everything should be done in moderation. You can augment the look of your tan with chemical tan. There are professional spray-on tan salons, but they get expensive with exfoliating beginning after one week, and by the second week it begins to look ugly if you don't keep it up. If you apply it yourself from a foam sunless tanning lotion or cream be sure to wear surgical gloves to avoid the orange palm-look. It's a dead give-away of your fake tan. Neutragena has a really good sunless tanning foam. But get the "mild" because the "dark" is way too dark, and as it ages it gets even darker! Also, bronzing powders are really great, available at the cosmetic departments of major department stores. Lancome has awesome natural looking bronzers. I never tan my face , not even at the tanning salon, because it causes wrinkles and aging; I use bronzing powder, instead. Because I don't expose my face to the sun everyone thinks I'm 35 years old. People freak out in absolute disbelief every time when I tell them my real age. I'm 51!
I use Johnsons holiday skin care, it gives you a light coverage. It will only stain your clothes if you put clothes on before it has properly dried.
Dove summer glow is a good tinted moisturising tan. It is on sale at superdrug at the moment for around 3.39.some of the girls at work use it too and prefer it to Johnsons & Johnsons.
Johnstones holiday sun is the best fake I have ever used and I have tried loads.
dove summer glow on my body and on my face olay! it doesnt go orange or look like fake tan aslong as you dont over apply!
try the johnson's holiday mosteriser
I use the Nivea moisturiser with self tanning in it, it gradually develops into a light tan and leaves your skin feeling really soft and hydrated, I have the Dove version as well which is also good. The Nivea facial moisturiser is really good as well and is very subtle.
I use Loreal Sublime tinted gel twice a week, it looks very natural and has a tint in it so you see where you're putting it. You have to wait for it to dry so you don't stain your clothes. It doesn't smell too bad either.
No there isn't they all stain that's the point isn't it if you want all year tan go out into daylight but at what risk if that's a no no try makeup
