Am thinking about becoming a goth, how do i do it? what do i sign? where are all the black clothes shops at?
anyone got any hand hints for my new lifestyle?

well. jus nefin black with a hint of vibrant colour shud work. lots of eyeliner and mascara! shop anywhere, jus throw on sum stuff an pray. there no definet style code. in fact being individual is the whole point i think. if ur female then fish nets with a scruffy shortish skirt. jus black an colour. that it reli.

it is more than just a clothing style, it is an identity. you need to feel you identify with the gothic style then you will find your way.
Get a picture of Michael Jackson and copy it. Sign on the dotted line. Walmart.
Hun, being goth isn't on what do you sign and what clothes you wear and how you act. It's about who you are. You can't just up and one day decide to be goth. You just are. But if you want to pose and be goth. The best thing to do is be dark. About everything. Buy a bunch of black clothes at hot topic or a thrift store. And keep to yourself. And write morbid poetry and just be plain Morbid. That's a poser goth.
Man, don't do it. Don't classify yourself. be an independent thinker and have your own lifestyle. Let it develop naturally. Obviously you are forcing this lifestyle upon yourself. Sooner or later it will suffocate you. Take it from someone who has been there.

But if you live in notts then a shop called 'ice nine' sells clothes that have that extra appeal, with pentacles and that on the tops!
I love this shop i buy loads of my clothes from here! but i also buy black clothes from normal shops too.
lol, if you live in leeds there is a shop called hellraiser theres a whole section devoted to goths, i just went to the CDs but they dont have a good selection. i think i saaw a gimp suit in there aswell, i didnt go any closer
Either you already are one or you aren't. You don't wake up one day and decide to be goth. Also there are so many different types that it's impossible to lump everyone into the same group. One of the main reasons people identify themselves as such is because it's about embracing your individuality, not conformity.
There's nothing to sign.
You can buy black clothes anywhere. Walmart is inexpensive, or you could go to Target or wherever. Most Goths actually don't shop at Hot Topic even though that's where all the posers go.
Don't wash 1st! then go to a Hospice shop & buy alll the **** you can that they can't sell!

Go round the charity shops etc, and look for black and more black long dresses etc. You can get into the look quite cheaply or at least your interpretation of it quite cheaply. If you decide to move on it wont have cost you an arm and a leg!! Get black kohl eyeliner and youre away. There are nice dark lipsticks and eye makeup , try rimmel etc which are reasonable, some market stalls sell things at a low price too. You'll probably see what you want just in passing and start collecting 'the look' a bit at a time.
that's what is so stupid about gothic people. It isn't based on anything but outcasts turning to some weird dark expression because they are shut out by all other groups. You can't just become a goth just like you can't become a skater overnight or a jock. You have to grow into that stuff gradually. It has to be natural or you are seriously a poser
