How do i get films onto my computer to put onto my ipod??

You can download them, either by using a file-sharing program like limewire or kazaa, or put songs on your pc from a CD.
Download movies in the mp4 format. Limewire is a good place to find them.
It's simple,
if you have a dvd, then ripp the dvd into your pc with a dvd ripper program (go to any search engine and you'll find many downloads). A good one would be ImTOO DVD to iPod Converter 4.
This program will convert your movie into mp4 format. Finally just add it to your i-tunes library and syncronize your i-pod.

download them from i-tunes (you do have i-tunes I take it if you have an ipod). They now provide films at a fixed price as well as music.
