I'm thinking of getting my tongue pierced whats the do's and don'ts?
Answers:
Your piercer should answer all of these before piercing you, but here goes.
Make sure first and foremost to go to a reputable piercer.
Avoid spicy foods, high acid food (citrus and soda) and alcohol and smoking for a few weeks. After about 2 weeks (or once the swelling subsides) you can go back to the piercer to have the barbell downsized.
You should not be kissing or putting your mouth on anything other than food for about a month to avoid introducing foreign bacteria.
you can eat or drink whatever you want, as long as it doesn't bother you. The only thing is, that you have to gargle with mouthwash (Listerine.original w/o any dyes in it) after you put anything in your mouth. After eating, drinking, or even smoking. other than that, if it doesn't hurt, then do it.
Ask your dentist, cracked teeth, not good.
do be ready for people to think you are a tart
dont try and hide it when you are talking, you will just look sillier
My advice is just don't do it. It is unattractive.

Do-look both ways before crossing roads
