Is there a way to reduce the appearance of thread veins?

im only a teen and have thread/spider veins on my legs which looks horrible. and sometimes i get a light ache where they are, is there anything i can do to help reduce them or prevent them in the future? Thankyou!! :))

Answers:
Yes, I had some zapped by a dermatologist. That was a while ago, I'm sure they have some new procedures, too.
Avoid standing for long hours. Exercise more often.
THIS IS CREATED BY BLOOD POOLING AS THE VALVES BREAK DOWN IN THE VEINS, SURGERY TO CURE
EXERCISE AND NOT STANDING IN ONE POSITION FOR TO LONG ALSO TRY MASSAGE TO HELP BLOOD CIRCULATION
Rub vitamin E cream on them and stop crossing your legs when you sit down. thats probably what caused them. (cross your legs at the ankles in future, so that you're not causing spider veins, but still being a lady)
you can wear suport tights at night and but some cream from the chemist, I would advise a visit to your doc as its quite unusual forsomeone so young to develop thread veins in the first place.
good luck
thanks
Any form of exercise that increases your circulation might help, such as swimming or running or dancing, but I fear they might never go away. Supposed to be associated with a sluggish liver sometimes, but I doubt that would be the case in a teen! But you could start researching into that now to stop the problem getting worse as you get older. Carrots and artichokes and dandelion leaves are very good for the liver, and you might consider taking Milk Thistle. You could also ask your doctor to do some tests to see if your liver is in good shape (just to be sure). Other than that, you can use a cosmetic concealer on the veins, same type people apply to their faces.
Oh, and don't wear tight jeans or leggings, or try loosening your belt by one notch. Try not to cross your legs when you sit and avoid too much salt and sugar. This should help your circulation as should massage.
you can cover theem up with a good concealer, later on you can have laser treatment to help get rid of them
My Friend had this same problem it runs in here family try using coco butter and dint stand up for to long
Hi it may be best for you to go to the doctors and check that they arnt varicose veins as you say they ache, but if they are reall small and red, I got some stuff that reduces the apperance of them from Avon, its cellusculpt Leg Perfector, its got a hint of sell tan in and will leave your legs wonderfully smooth and toned. and minimises the look of them. Maybe if you go to the doctors he will give you something to prevent them in the future.
Melatonin and ultraviolet rays. See a doctor first about the melatonin as there may be side effects if you take too much. But definitely get some sun.
Wear pants. Or colored tights or use some derma-blend scar concealor to cover them up. It is genetic & you can't stop them. You may want to have your heart checkd for circulation problems & blockage in the arteries. Because you are young, they may not be able to detect any problems until you get older. I suggest this ONLY if heart problems run in your family. If they don't, then don't worry about it.
I hear that you can get painless injections of a saline solution to slowly rid yourself of the spider veins. There are some topical vitamin K creams supposedly help too but I doubt they really work. Walk, run or use a treadmill to get the circulatory system going. If you have discomfort, see an MD that they are not the early stages of varicose veins. Spider veins do not cause discomfort. And don't be self-conscious about it. Take action to reduce them and to prevent further spread of these.
you mut have done a lot of standing all these years..i'm sorry to say but there is no simple cure for that spider veins. i saw a makeover once on tv about the two girls who have similar problem. a doctor injected some fluid in their legs and whala! the veins are gone! you can ask a derma about that.
you have a condition called vericose veins. some ppl in my family have it too. the only thing that can alieviate some of the pain is to get these special socks that are tight on your legs and wear them as often as possible. If i remember what the socks are called or where to get them, I will let you know.
Sorry that I don't have an answer for you but bless you for asking this question! I have the same problem and I'm only 16 years old. I don't have a lot but I do have some on both sides of my thighs. I exercise and play sports and stuff, but I don't know why I have them either. I think it's hereditary or something. Again, thanks for asking this question. I've been wondering the same thing :o)
Do some stretch exercise and avoid standing for a long period of time. Avoid getting your legs wet (wash) if it feels tired.
there is some body make up available for an immediate solution. asfaraslong term answers, you can use compression stockings when you're at home, and also elevate your legs as often as you can. Most importantly, you should tell someone who will take you for an exam by a doc. there is a reason you have this happening and especially if you are having discomfort in that area
i have a very good pharmacist i can ask anything and and number 1 that is very helpful.i was told to purchase specific vitamin for this problem and it is also used for circulation.i use the biggest discount store in town.i won't name the vitamin as i am not qualified to give medical advice.but give it a try and i think you will be pleased.GOOD LUCK !
You are very young to have spider veins. I would see my Dr. first just to make sure everything is ok. If so then you can get them laser zapped. They have some great procedures now that are virtually painless & work really well. Try not to stand for long periods at a time, & exercise to keep the blood flowing.
I was lucky enough to inherit them from my Mother & now both of my daughters are getting them . Good luck!
I found that mine diminish when I do more cardio exercise to get the blood pumping. Also, elevating my legs help too; when I watch TV, my legs are up and hanging over the side of the sofa.
Absolutely there is!!

You need to go to the health food store and buy Ginger Capsules. Take the recommended dosage. Ginger is a "Hot" spice with increases blood circulation, and the health benefits with ginger is amazing.
Also, go and buy a bottle of Apple Cider Vinegar. before going to bed, apply it with a cotton ball directly to the area where the veins are. You must be consistent with (anything), and if you follow through with these two things, you will see results.

Standing for any lengthy time can irritate them, and sitting on your legs is not a good thing to do.
These type of veins are hereditary and they will not completely go away.
You can also contact your Dr. because there are new procedures that can dissolve them entirely..
My best of luck to you.
avoid standing for long periods and drink plenty of water. Cut down on salt and eat a balanced diet
See your doctor, i think you can get specialist treatment for this problem.
Fake tan is quite good but I would have them checked out if they are aching you dont want to develope varicus veins later on.
ive got them!!! snap!!! lol
Ask boots(the shop)
paint your legs red with red nail varnish.
Wear dark tights
don't stand for too long
