Is being gay a contagious sickness? Or is it just in fashion?
I'm wondering because whatever it is there seam to be more and more of them.

Being homosexual is definitely not a contagious sickness. In the first place, it's not an illness. It may be trendy in certain circles to pose as a homosexual but sexual preference is a serious matter and for those who strongly identify as a homosexual, it is not a trendy act.

As society (slowly) becomes more tolerant, the tendency is for people to become more confortable with who they are.
Maybe that's why there are more gays, more people with tattoos, and etc; society used to hold much more prejudice against them in the past.
People are born gay, it just seems that there are more of them because they are not afraid to be who they are. In the 50's and 60's more gays were in the closet and were getting married to hide their true identies. Thank God that now they are coming out of the closet so they don't have to be in unhappy marriages and their husbands or wifes and kids do not have to suffer with them living a duel lifestyle.

Why should being gay be considered a disease. I think it is incredibly narrow minded when people make statements such as yours. I have never seen any argument that could support something just like what you said. I do be live that people have the right to decide whether they are heterosexual, homosexual, asexual, or whatever else they feel like being without being treated like lepers.
The argument of "It is not natural, so it must be wrong" is sooo lame, if that were a valid argument, then driving cars, flying planes, using clothes and computers should then also be considered diseases. After all, I have never seen an animal using his laptop while driving a car to go to the airport dressed in an Armani suit, now, have you?
