Why are we still killing tigers for fur coats and chinese medecine?

Answers:
They are only being killed illegally, Tigers are a protected species, and it is illegal to import any part of them into the UK, however, we in the UK have no say in what goes on in other countries, the ban is world wide and introduced by the UN but there are many curative properties attributed, but not correctly, to products from Tigers and other strong animals such as Lion and Bear. Many primitive cultures, and others not so primitive, believe that eating part of a tiger would mean the person absorbs some of its strength and courage.
I think it should be made illegal, globally. They are an endangered species- surely it would not be that difficult to protect them- they do in some areas of Africa already.
god knows we dont need it.
Don't get me started ..the Chinese have the most barbaric uses for Animals and thats a fact.
i suppose it would be difficult to wear them when still alive..i think if you want it's coat you should fight it bare handed for it..people would not want them then would they?
well its my understanding no wild endangered species are used to harvest. breeders raise these animals & are permitted to sell pelts ect..
Supply and demand. As long as there is a demand for it, someone will supply it.
I dont know i mean it`s totally mean.it said on the news in 15 years time they will be extinct!i think it should be alligal.
