HELP! Skin intolerance to waxing?
Hey girls and people in general out there,
Is there a possibility that i can have waxing intolerance? Because i waxed my legs and armpits and aside it hurted like hell in that moment it still hurts. I mean i've just done the legs and they really hurt and are really red, (at some point one started bleeding). About my armpits. there are looking like burnt. but i used the Cold Wax Strips by Veet.
HELP!

Maybe you have very sensitive skin and the whole pulling and prodding did a number on you. Why don't you try those epilators? They're the same as waxing (yanking hair from the follicle), but they have the advantages of being a lot less messy, plus you don't have to wait till the regrowth is long enough (they yank the most minimal of hair lengths), but it hurts like hell!
Or, if you have the $$$, go for laser hair removal?
You probably shouldn't be using them. You maybe should use a medicated one or have it done professionally. My advice would be not to use those anymore and to put some lotion or neosporin on those places now!
Hope I helped!
I hate veet, nair all that stuff
in the end I found out just go get it done.it's worth it instead of going through stuff and not liking it the mess and your time!
Wax adheres to the skin and the hair. When you pull it off you remove some of the skin too. Sugaring paste adheres to the hair only and removes only the hair. It is less painful and less damaging to your skin. To help with the pain your having now try ice and take some Motrin or whatever you use when you get a headache. Also, get a product called "Tendskin". It will burn at first but it will prevent any ingrown hairs that almost always occur as the new hairs start to grow back. I have had years of personal experience with both sugaring and using "Tendskin".
My tween daughter started using Veet for "sensitive" skin. You have to follow the directions. She's never burned herself and has been using the cream since she was 11. I use the sensitive and regular formula. I don't use the regular unless I'm VERY limited on time. The sensitive skin formula is much milder. Sorry about your experience.
