I want to stretch my ear lobes but dont know how to begin?
I had my ears peirced normally when I was a little kid, but now I want to stretch them, not sure to which size but I know I have to get some tapered pins. The only problem is I have tiny little holes (typical sized piercings) I'm not sure what size to begin with and how will I get them in straight off the bat? they look a lot thicker than normal earrings

Ok taper pins are not necessary. Your holes now are 20 gauge. I have successfully gone out to 8 gauge but am capable of 4 gauge currently over the past 10 years i have been doing gauge work staying at 14 for a really really long time (almost 10 years). You should start out getting an 18 gauge ring and massaging your ears until they are warm and then slide in the 18 gauge, there will be some pain but dont worry the reason you massage streach and heat your lobes is so they are more elastic, leave in atleast 2 weeks and move up to 16 and so on, once you reach 12 allow healing time to be atleast 3 weeks. Use high quality stainless steel rings. Captive bead rings work well, they have rounded ends which help to push the hole bigger, i went from a 10 to an 8 that way and it hurt bad but it was alright. If you want to work tapers i would suggest using pinchers which are double ended tapers in the shape of a crescent moon and often come with plugs, these work well and are more stylish than taper pins. I would suggest hottopic.com and look under body jewlery for gauge rings because morbid metals are a good reputable brand. Go slow!
Oh don't do this. Think of how you are going to look at your prom, your first job interview, your wedding, and when you are 80! Respect yourself and don't do this to your ears. It is very unbecoming.
SLOWLY. Start with a small gauge (18 maybe) and you can work up to as much as you want.
put 2.2 lb weights on them.
you'll get stretched earlobes in no time.
ouch sounds painful
Why?? If you have a good answer for that, then go for it! But really, I find this extremely unnatural and unattrative. It might also be uncomfortable.
if you aren't sure if you want to stretch them out, try the 16 size plugs. theyre the smallest size of plugs. then you can see if you can go bigger.like a 14 or a 13.
If you've never done anything like this before, you may just want to go to a piercer. They can taper a regular sized hole, but if you're looking for a much larger gauge, you'll want to do this gradually. You can stretch from the 18 to a 10 or 12 with very minimal pain or effort, but, again, you'll probably want to have a professional do the first one, then if you want to go bigger, get larger tapering needles and try on your own. One big thing to consider is that the holes you have now are placed correctly. If they're not symmetrically placed or if they're in the wrong position on your lobe, you may want to get new holes and work on them.
it really all depends on how your ears stretch. i started with a 12g then went to a 10g then a 6g and stopped at 4. i recommend that you do not skip sizes, because that can result in your ear tearing, and it will take longer to heal. also, if you ever think you may not want plugs in the future, i wouldn't stretch past a 00g, or you'll forever have holes in your ears. good luck!
wow thats nasty and un attractive. only a stupid broad would get wit sumbody like u
There is a tribe in Africa that insert discs in the ear lobes of their female children and gradually increase the size of the discs as the children age! You could eventually fit a saucer in there, lovely eh?
The males have discs inserted in their bottom lip and eventually they can also insert a saucer, they end up looking like Donald Duck, also lovely?
As it's now too late for you to use this method, you could dangle 120lb weights from each ear and they will soon stretch, the benifit of this method is that you would also be making a fashion statement!! It could catch on.
Hope this helps??
i found that the least paintful way to do this, when you get to bigger size gauge, is to soak in the bath while you do it, to make you skin more flexible.
DONT strech more than one gauge at a time you can rip you skin and its NOT very nice
