They are taking over the world. Give me Morrisons any day.

its amazing to think like 80 odd years ago the company was founded by a jew who sold rotten veg on a market stall as a kid and it ended up turning into a 2.5 billion pound profit a year buissness quite an acheivement really.he just kept usingthe profits he made to open more and more shops just leasing shop spaces and opening shops in a matter of a weekend up and down the country ,but i get what you are saying its getting pretty obscene now there taking over the world and sqashing the high streets and little man as they go.

How can someone hate a grocery shop?? Jeez man, think u need to go talk to someone.;)
Is it logical to hate a company because they are sucessful? Is it just envy? would you hate tham if you had shares?
The bigger the company becomes the better products thay can offer at lower prices.
Saying that i shop at the local co-op or ASDA
So if morrisons were taking over the world that would be o. k.?
It's an interesting scenario, Tescos, Wallmart and Carrefour are the three largest super market chains in the world and they control everything they buy. It is true they are responsible for small business collapse and setting the rules for the companies that buy from them.
The alternative would be to have a lot of smaller stores with higher prices that we would all complain about,
THe other plus is that they have the best logistics between them in the world. Moving that amount of produce around is an absolute nightmare.
Without them we the public would have less in the shops and far less most of us could afford to buy.
But we do hate the profits they make and the meglamaniac rule they hold
I don't hate Tesco but they are bloody expensive. Give me Liddel or Asda any day.
Bob is right. Tesco are not intrinsically worse than any other supermarket, just currently more successful. This is because they have succeeded in every facet of the food retail market ie value, convenience, range and quality. The world would be better if we did all use small, local shops, but that is unlikely to happen just yet, or perhaps ever. Supermarkets benefit massively by screwing suppliers, competition, their own workforces and customers. Many people no longer even trust small businesses, as they cannot compete with the stringent safety regulations imposed by supermarkets. Anyone who says "you should get out more" for asking this question needs to open their eyes.
Actually I was going to say I loved Tescos but then oh .Morrisons I love them more . they even get me to impulse buy!
i hate it ! i like iceland and asda
We dont have Morrison's where I live but I hear they are good up North. I am from South East and tonight I went to Tesco. I purchased 2 large tins of whole carrots. 2 large tins of processed peas, 1 tin of sweetcorn, a pack of cotton buds, a large bottle of bath salts and 3 bottles of Hock wine. Cost £12.62, I thought that was good value.
You want to go back to travelling to 40 different shops to get your shopping? Paying over the odds for groceries? Poor quality stuff.
Tesco is so big because people shop with them.. We as a people could make Tesco go bust within a week, just stop going there, en masse, all of us. But you know what, we won't.. We like good prices more than we like to moan.
