Hours you can work?

If partner is on job seekers allowance how many hours can i work before his allowance is stopped. i was informed by Job Centre Plus i could work up to 24hrs per week. Can anyone clarify this as I want to be sure. Thanks

Answers:
According to the DWPs website it is 24 hours a week, so if they are claiming any different, refer them back to that part of the site.
yes thats correct
i work 116 hours a week
up to 24 hours , I am reliably told.
It used to be that you could work no more than 16 hours or earn no more than £20 a week without it affecting benefits. This might well have changed though now. Check the DWP website.
