If you arrive and leave work in the dark, what do you do to stay happy?
This question was posed in an editorial of a magazine i read. I couldn't be bothered of thinking up an answer so I thought I would enlist your help, thanks !

Good question. I leave in the dark and come home in the dark and it's not nice. I always make sure I go outside at lunchtime and get some natural light. On days like today it's lovely to go out.
I also eat lots of chocolate! That always helps.
Other things that help keep me happy are to have days off to look forward to, my birthday, which is in winter, and then, after the winter equinox in December it starts to get light again! Its makes me happy every day to realise that we're getting a few extra minutes of light every day.
Join Y!A and spend most of the day on that instead. It always perks up my day!

I find doing the things that most boys do when they are on their own helps .
exercise produces endorphines, which are also produced by coming into contact with sunlight.

Get one of those SAD lamps. They're supposed to help a lot. I work a lot of night shifts and am thinking of getting one. Also, make sure you get lots of vitamin D in your diet. This is what the sun gives you. In your spare time get out and about as much as possible.
I suffer from SAD and in winter I used to stay in all the time, ignore the door and the phone and generally hibernate every night. Then I took on a bar job a couple of nights a week just to get out of the house and I love it!
Try and get outside at least once during the day - go for a walk at lunch for example. I couldn't bear to see no daylight at all!
My job is flexible, so I just leave work earlier, i also go to work earlier.
I will be when the days start to draw in so I'm going join a gym.
Plan a summer holiday and think about sunshine!
I make the most of my weekends!
(Do I win a prize?) LOL
Stop whining and deal with it, summer will come soon and next year will be dark early again. make the most of your weekends and get up early, go out and do something.
