Not very unusual I'm afraid but I believe there is a huge market opportunity for a chain of really good, RELIABLE, electricians and plumbers. Everyone I speak to seems to really struggle when they need these services. There seem to be 9 bad ones to every good one and then the good ones are booked up for months! Maybe my friends and I have just been unlucky but it does seem like there's a lot of money to be made by the business that can get its customer service right.

I was made redundant a few years ago and could not get another job. I looked at my skills and as I was a good salesman I set up a sales training business. I achieved a small amount of work in the first 3 months and made more than half of my previous annual salary. Within a year I had 5 consultants working for me each doing training for different companies and I paid them by commission and in the 2nd year I had doubled my previous salary with promise of doubling that in the 3rd Year.
