I have a job interview with an Estate Agents any advice on answering questions about dealing with difficult ..
Answers:
You should mirror yourself depending on the agent you are applying to. Some agents are more traditional and have a loyal, and usually older clientele. If this is the case for your agent then you should bear in mind they will like you more if you've had a public education, play rugby and call breasts 'norks'. The other type of agent is going for a younger market, these agents will want amusing facial hair, a cocky demeanour and shoes so pointy you could make a kebab.
Just come across as really enthusiastic and quick, and they're bound to try you out.
smile.nod..show some skin! lol :)
difficult what?
No.. If you have decided to become an estate agent, you deserve all you get.
Sorry, no symapthy whatsoever.
ive worked in customer services for the last 7 years. When faced with a dificult customer i always stand by their side when talking to them. I do this for two reasons, firstly it gives the psychological impression that you are trying to see things from their side, secondly (and really more importanly,) if it turns nasty, they have less of a target area to hit than if stood head on.
make sure you listen to the complaint fully (try and structure the conversation so that you speak for about 30% of the time) taking notes also gives the impression of paying attention.
dont lie. if you cant solve a problem immediatly say so but also say what you will do (eg asking a more experienced staff member) and set a deadline for you to get back with the customer then stick to it!
hope the interview goes well
speaking calmly and slowly and ask politely for the person to calm down if they will not do so take a few steps back and repeat if this still doesnt help run to the saftety of your car and drive away at an appropriate speed limit!! :) But yeah the most influential advice i can give is to lie out your *** or tell the complete and honest truth THERE IS NO IN BETWEEN!!!!
Be vague and always try to answer in a way that makes you sound cool. For example the most common and classic tough interview question is:
Why did you leave your last job(s)?
You say "I developed and grew out of that position, I got all I could from that role and, as because I constantly strive to develop and better myself, rather than stay in that job and stagnate, I decided to look for new challenges"
customers? situations? good way is stay calm, polite, don't get defensive, show you understand their problem. do not lie to customers, but remain keenly aware of your role as the face of the company, so be tactful. for interview, think of ways you have successfully handled difficult situations in the past - doesn't have to be work-related - as they may ask you to give an example. good luck!

Hi -I have dealth with complaints on the phone and my first rule is..dont take it personally! Unless of course youve lied horribly, in which case, its all your fault! Seriously tho, take everything with a pinch of salt and remember, its nothing against YOU as a person.
I also liked the guys previous answer, who said to stand by their side, thats good info xx
