I Want to buy a computer by internet on U.S web site do you know how much tax i have to pay here in uk?

I agree with those who ask why you don't buy the computer in the UK but if you have some special reason then remember you might end up paying a lot more for it.

You pay the import taxes and VAT of the total amount, not only the purchase price. Then you will probably have to pay someone for filling out the import papers on top of that.
Computers are delicate items and more likely than not, something will break on the way from the US to the UK unless you pay for very expensive shipping methods.
If I were in your shoes, I would rather spend the money in the UK (what size do you wear)
Its a little less than $2 to the pound so a bit less than 750 pounds. However, are you sure the computer will actually work in the UK? We have different electric voltages over here.

Wouldn't you really be better off buying from a reputable site here or go into a store, chose what you like to meet your needs and see if they can match the internet price. Many good stores will do that now and will throw in a warranty or a case as well. That way if it goes wrong you can easily send it back.
First of all your proposed computer will be set up for the USA 110v AC 60Hz mains supply, and not the 240V AC 50Hz UK supply. But even if the input supply voltage is easily changed over, what is the point of buying via the USA when equally well specified computers (at least an equivalent price, too) are now available in the UK? And it's a lot easier to go back to Currys or PC World to complain, than to go to America!!

In my humble opinion you will be much better served by buying in the UK.
If you want value for money then see some of the on-line stores.
If you like to see the salesman then go to a high street store.
I would think twice about buying a computer in the US.
As other writers have suggested there is the added cost of VAT insurance as will as the spectre of future guarantee problems.
The price in the US is only half of what you would pay in the UK but seriously ,is this worth all the future problems you may encounter. I think after freight and VAT you will be out of pocket.

Be very careful, I ordered stuff in the US and when it landed I have had to pay the local VAT plus other taxes and excise duties accumulated on the way. A US computer maybe 800 pounds but when it gets here it will be 800 plus Vat plus other charges. By the way a lot of US PC manufacturers have outlets in UK and Europe. There is one other concern is the power point and voltages of the equipment whether they would be compatible with local power.
