Stay at your job long enough to:
Pay your rent,utility bill,phone bill,buy groceries
(Hey!) looks like your going to have to keep your job!.
get new job first, then quit the old. you can hold out another 2-3 weeks can't you?
Look for a job that you'd truly enjoy. If you need to go back to college/university to achieve your goal, then do it! You will have to get a loan, in all possibility, but you don't have to start paying it back until you are earning over £15,000 I think it is now. Plus the interest rate is low.
If you have a degree already, you can get an entry-level position almost anywhere that interests you.
Personally I would keep the crap job (unless it is making you really ill of course), just until you get a better job, but if that's not possible, and are serious about finding a job, go for it. You might have to apply for benefits in the meantime, (e.g. Job Seeker's Allowance, Housing Benefit) and some councils are really strict with who they give it to (if you don't get the relevant paperwork in on time, zip; that's it!). Plus, it's fricken humiliating! >_<
Good luck, and I hope you get the job you want! :)
make money on the internet too--and do this whenever I want to, totally on my own schedule. This is a great site to make money on if you live in the USA (or Canada).
I have only found one legitimate work at home site so far, But it does take a bit of work initially--I added referrals--and the money got better. And I believe my earnings will continue to grow.
I started by answering surveys on CashCrate and filling out some free offers and received a real check from them. For example, I signed up for E-bay and made a bid and got paid $8.00. And there are no fees to join. It is totally free. So I made a little my first month with them.

But once I found out this site was legit, I started adding referrals. For every person you refer, you get 20% of what they earn. And for every person that one of your referrals refer to CashCrate, you get 10%. It may take some time to build up the number of referrals necessary to make a lot of money, but in time--this could be a great source of income--making money while other people are in a sense, working for you.
And by the way--never join a work at home program that wants you to pay up front. If they were making that much money, they wouldn't need to charge you.
Note: There are not many offers on this site for users outside of the USA (there quite a few offers for Canadian users though). But if you are in another country, you could still refer users from the USA to CashCrate and make money on those referrals
Go to a temping agency, or stay in your present job until you´ve found a new job that you like. If you have to pay your rent there´s no other way. Life´s tough, honey xx
I'm guessing you're a bloke, in which case there's a certain type of "bank" you can go to which will give you money for a "small deposit". I think that's the lowest effort way to make money.
Other than that, try to work out what job you would enjoy, and try to get into that.

Would love to share what I do from home. I am giving you my web site http://fhhc.stayinhomeandlovinit.com. , how ever it is a bit vague. I have a couple of options of how I can deliver the information one is on the phone and the other would be thru skype and a slide presentation. I am not able to send a simple email because it is important to hear all the information in it entirety. You can request information on the first page of my web site.
If you are interested in setting up a time to talk please just email me. You can stop by my blog and it may give you a bit of info about me as a person rather than a computer on the other end .http://fhhc.blogspot.com
I don't know if this would suit you or not, but I have made a lot of extra money here http://www.mylot.com/?ref=nancygibson. Basicaly its a bit like here, you ask and answer questions and can post pictures etc, but you get paid each time you do. I've made a really useful extra amount of cash in my spare moments. Would that be of any interest at all?
