Go to the Citizens Advice Bureau as soon as. They will be able to help or give you advice as to what to do, they also hold legal surgeries and you will be able to speak to a solicitor who can help if it goes that far.
Wish you luck
All they can do is kill you.
Don't Give Up!!
Try and speak to whoever you owe the debt too and see if you can make some kind of arrangement (Legally!)
Why give up. A lot of people are in that same boat including myself. It's just that the economy sucks. But it will get better. And just think one day you'll own that house.
go ahead and jump.
Go along to citizen advice they could help you!! Don't just ignore this as you will only make matters worse x
Never give up. Call the people you owe money to and work out a payment plan.
Contact the creditor and explain that you are unable to pay all in one go.
Offer them an amount that you can pay, and I think by law, they have to accept.
Don't ignor it and don't do anything stupid.
Sometimes you feel like giving up when debt piles up like that but if you cannot pay then they will take you to court. They will end up garnishing from your wages. Sometimes bankruptcy is the only way out.
On Oprah's website they have a plan to help people get out of debt (maybe some of this info can help you) -- although 7 days is pushing it.

it you send them a dollar and they accept it then really there isn't much they can do if they refuse it then you don't have to pay cause you sent what you could and they refused payment. now another thing you might want to do is see if you could get a free consult with a lawyer..they might be able to help you.
talk to them and explain the situation, offer them proof of your finances. Talk to your citizens advice bureau and they can either help or put you in touch with people who can help go over your finances and show you where you can save money to rectify the situation. As long as you show willing they are usually reasonable it is the people who have luxuries and waste money on frivolous items whilst pleading poverty who they wipe the floor with. The worst they can do is take you to court and have a judgement taken out against you. The court will look at your finances and state a reasonable and acceptable amount that you will need to pay back per month to satisfy the situation.
No they all give you seven days to pay! just phone them and explain your situation, put an offer to them of how much you can pay and within reason the pretty much have to take your offer! even if its like £20 a month!
If they take you to court and the court hears that you tried to pay what you could afford and it wasnt accepted then they will throw it out of court anyway! They would rather get the money over a long period of time than not at all!!
good luck
get on to the citizens advise beaureau.
they should be able to help you , there are lots of ways to reduce debts and the pressure that urgent repayments puts on you!!
always remember that if you cant afford it DONT buy it !
dont worry there is help out there so dont despair !!
When you say give up what do you mean? If it involves ending your life dont be daft. giving up a life over something so trivial, at worst you could sell everything and leave the country.
Or if you mean give up as in just see what happens then the most likely thing is they reclaim what you own to pay off the debt then ask you to attend court. There is always an answer, some not as quick and easy as we would like.
Contact the citizens advice bureo and see what they can advise. As long as the loan is with a company and not the mafia your ok.
Killing you isnt the answer though, they will never get their money back then.
They can't eat you, so I would call them and tell them the situation and try to make some kind of arrangement. Lots of people are in the same boat as you are. Paying a little at the time will keep you out of court.
What do you owe for and to who? If you have serious problems with a mortgage, then I think it is better to get out of the situation, but you should first contact the bank/building society to see if some arrangement can be made. If not, then sell your property , pay off your debts and be free from debt, with perhaps some money left from the sale. If it is another debt, and you have no chance of resolution (ie. they are demanding their payment) then let them take what is theirs, then you can start again. You want to be stress-free, and It is no point, throwing good money after bad money. If you are going to always struggle with making payments, then the 'thing' is not worth having. It is the media/society which places so called 'value' on possesions.
Quality of life is more important than quantity!!
