How much does a cook get payed in Uk?

Answers:
Peanuts!!
give up cooking and become a footballer
Thirty shillings a week.
Depends who employs you and how good you are at cooking.
Obviously depends where you live and what sort of catering you are doing. Here in N.E it ranges from about £5.50/hr for a commis chef up to about £15/hr for a head or sous chef. Hope that helps
Depends if you an apprentice or Gordon Ramsay, and also where you work.
I would say a good average is 21k but this is a proper chef not a sous or commi chef.

I think becoming a chef is for love of food and not the money, because when you emmerse yourself in what you love, the money will come through your passion for what you do. That's why Gordon, Jamie and co have become what they are.

Start in Hotel Restaurants there you will get excellent experience.
