What are the attitudes of a mature person?
I want to draw a check in my personality. In most of the interviews I think I answered the interviewer little childishly. My answer should be calm and composed.
Answers:
You fail to state your age. if you don't have a condition bordering on Asperger Syndrome (autistic spectrum disorder) then in time, you will grow into maturity and learn them for yourself, we all mature at separate levels, some very young (I was born grown up) and some very late. and some, like AS people, as my son and his dad are, will never emotionally mature beyond 16. But they can be extremely advanced intellectually as well.
The fact you recognised your weakness now, and want to work on it, is a sign of maturing in itself. spend more time with older people than yourself. not bitter people, but older wiser people you respect for being calm and understanding, and fair in all their dealings. Seek them out and listen to their stories, their pasts, their understanding of life and themselves, and in the doing, you too will grow much faster:-)
Good luck next time round in interviews, because you are growing, that's for sure;-)
Hard to sum it up. Try listing a few specifics.
Just be yourself, acting don't last long
Self control, Self confidence, Self esteem. consideration and leadership
Hi, invest your money in getting a 16PF5 psychometric test or the MBTA, looks expensive but you could always ask the interviewer what personality they are looking for and see if you fit the bill. A bit of money, unless you can get on a trial, but worth it. I found out that I was dominant but could be led if the best argument could be proven . A bit of money but worth it. There is a website, can't remember it but put 16PF5 or MBTA in the search engine. Good luck x

If you find all this too beyond your grasp try doing an assertiveness course
A mature person can still have a childish side which is okay. The key for interview is be prepared. Interviewers are normally looking for a person with integrity and relevant qualities for the position that the interview is for. Take your time to understand the questions and then try to tell them your real experience to support your answer rather than the yes and no is very important. Be clear, firm, and precise. Being yourself also make you more natural during the interview , which will create a rather comfortable atmosphere for everyone. Keeping eye contact at all time and showing your interest in the company will definitely add bonus to your interview. Also remember, being desperate and being keen can be very similar depending on how you present yourself. For example, 'I really want this job' clearly makes you the former, whilst 'I would be grateful if you give me this opportunity' , 'I am sure I am capable of doing this job although there are still things for me to learn' or 'I would like to be part of your company' shows how keen you are.
Go through the job description and highlight the qualities of the candidate they are looking for and think about your strengths and weaknesses for the position. When doing your preparation, think how you can demonstrate your strenghs verbally and how you can give the interviewers confidence in the fact that your weaknesses will not affect your abilities in doing this job.
