The path is 1m wide. the dimensions of the pond are x-2m. whats the area of the pond?
Answers:
What's the path got to do with the area of the pond?
What exactly are you asking, is it a riddle?
what shape is the pond?
Zero - the pond has no length in your example
Depth - or should I say, Debt?
There is something missing from this question.
Area is lengthxbredth, so if the length of the pond is x-2, and the pond is a perfect square, then the answer could be (x-2)^2, but thats purely extrapolation.
I don't know what the path width has in connection to it.
Are you sure you have COPIED the whole question out of your homework jotter correctly?
ponds dont' come in rectangular shapes.
This question should be in the maths section, mate!
is your pond round or square?
