Is plumbling a good job?
Answers:
Great job. Excellent pay, plumbers will always be needed, and most important is you can be your own boss. Go for it.
My plumber is the best. He always bails me out of trouble and on a moment's notice. Pays to have plumbers on your good side.
yes it is but you are going to have to deal with some unpleasant things also.clogged toilets with unimaginable things. Sewer drains. but otherwise a good honest job.
Yes it is, but it is also hard and dirty work. Have you ever seen a plumbmer go home as clean as when he went to work? The pay is real good, but it is hard earned, and well deserved.
I don't know about plumling, but plumbing is quite a good job these days, I know about 5 plumbers.
everybody needs a plumber at some time or another.
Bet there is plenty of work with all these new houses they keep building all over the counrty.
Yes, if you get your journeyman's license and work for a commercial company. They do new installation and a journeyman's salary can be anywhere from $60-80,000 per year. It's clean work, not dirty like residential plumbing where you work on homeowner's toilets. Plus it's a skill where you can moonlight (work after hours on your own).
Yep, the plumber charged me 60 quid for 10 mins work to unblock the bog, so you would rake it in!
Yes it is. There is good money in it. you may have to encounter unpleasant things but its still very good!
If you work for yourself it's financially a very good, but it's also very hard because it's physically demanding. It can be very inconvenient as well if you are called out in the middle of the night or when it's below zero.
yes as there aren,t as many training nowa days
Yes. Hard work, but the pay's more than worth it.
I agree with BarbaraJ: Go for the new. (clean!). work. If your reputation and skills bring you after-hours dirty work, charge accordingly. Consider becoming an electrician.
The answer will become self evident when you next need one.
Yep.my mate is a Plumier.and makes £600 to £800 a week .Try to get on the Council list of "Emergency Plumbers" ..(thats in the UK ) then you can charge that council for the "Call Out " .. £60 per/Hour is the normal charge..
It must be an excellent profession as I can never seem to get hold of one.
Yes but many plumbers will not deal with human waste.
If you can avoid this part of the work it's OK.
What I can tell you is that a self employed plumber in Central Scotland can clear 1000 a week in his hand, easily. It's a good paying game.
I also heard they were finding it hard to attract young lads into the trade because of the difficulties of human waste ( oyung lads nowadays won't put up with it)
Don't worry there will be plenty Polish plumbers soon!!
You would be better off being a corgi trained boiler repair specialist, because then you can charge £90 just for showing up, and then charge what ever stupid amount that comes into your head, why not, that's what all the other robbing ba*ta*ds do.
Well i heard a advertisement on the radio saying that we are going to have a massive shortage of plumbers in the next ten years and wages are going to be huge.so go for it mate
It,s a gold mine, as long as you do not mind getting your hands dirty. It,s one of the top earners, make a good name for yourself and the money will come rolling in. I know a guy who lives in HOLLAND go,s to do plumbing in the u.k. every working week.. Say no more !!.
